Hi, hoping someone can help me configure the Marvell Esata controller on my X79-sli. According to the manual it supports port multiplier however I cannot find a way to get the card to detect more than one disk. My external array only  has an Esata connector so I no option for USB.

I agree that knowing the system would be really needed to give a answer or at least knowing the model of motherboard and the make of the hard drives.

I use this system now for BURST mining (HDD mining) hence why all the drives. I got a couple of cheap esata enclosures as the manual for the board said that the Marvell Esata connectors were port multiplier capable but I can't seem to get it to work

Can you use it in a Raid 5 (JBOD) array?

Have you ensured you are running your SATA controller in AHCI or RAID vs Legacy/IDE mode? And there are separate settings for the Marvell controller vs the default Intel one
