The leds on my card are set to rainbow. The leds on my clc 280 are set to follow whatever the card is doing. Both the card and the clc 280 are running on the "rainbow" setting together however they aren't synced. Both my Flow control software and Precision XOC software are up to date as of right now. Flow Control 2.0.3 and XOC 6.1.8. Am I doing something wrong or is this a software issue?

EDIT: Changed Title to more generic, I found others with the same issue and different gpus, Seems like the issue is just the flow control software being complete garbage or the clc 280 itself.

Bump.  I also have this problem.  I've seen others who also have this issue.  I see no solution anywhere. This makes me sad =/

2.0.3 build notes state a single change:
Fixes issue with Temp Color LED setting

But I can now report a 100% reproducible bug: In ANY version of Flow Control including 2.0.3, set LED setting to "Follow Graphics Card" and use rainbow on graphics card.  They will both start as blue and hold sync for a matter of seconds before they desync and never regain it.  This is honestly the feature I bought this CLC for and it was advertised to do so, the fact that it can't and still hasn't been addressed is really agitating.  It would be such an easy timing fix ;)

i'm on the latest version of flow control and it doesn't sync up with my 1080ti ftw3 either. And i can't go lower than 25% on the fan curve. EVGA please fix asap. Sux when you just bought a product and the software still buggy.

I'm sure they're working hard on getting stuff fixed and updated at all times. Thats just how it is with IT, you wont ever get a flawless product because stuff is so rapidly changing etc.

Bump... Just updated to version 6.1.10 Precision XOC and still on 2.0.3 of Flow Control and the issue is still happening. Guess we just have to make more noise to bring this issue to the mainstream to be honest.

Bump.. fresh installs of both software seem to have done nothing still. Will continue to wait until this seemingly simple issue gets fixed.

Bump, Precision XOC 6.1.13 has not fixed the issue. I know it wasn't in the patch notes, but I still wanted to be hopeful. Just in case yes I'm running flow control 2.0.3.

It's kind of silly this feature isn't supported still this far after launch even though they call it out on the product page.

any word on when we'll see a software update for this? The lack of updates has me a bit worried.

I hope this doesn't count as continuous, but just an update since it's been over a month since the last post. I just got around to updating both my Flow Control to version 2.0.4 and Precision XOC 6.1.16 and the issue of the graphics card and liquid cooler not being in sync with each other. I've done some simple testing and it just seems like the liquid cooler cycles slightly faster than the graphics card. I'm not a software engineer by any means, but I feel like this could be a simple issue to fix if there was more attention brought to it. Again I could be very wrong, it has just been awhile and was looking for some sort of update from a developer if a fix is even in the works or a time estimate. I'm ok with waiting I just want to know how long. Thanks!

I'm on Flow Control 2.0.4 and Precision 6.1.16 as well.  Follow Graphics Card in Flow Control doesn't even work for me.  The CLC 280 goes to white static while the GTX 1080 Ti FTW3 maintains my settings.  Hopefully another round of updates will address the issue.

Great news! LED sync has mostly fixed the issue. The new update of Precision XOC is great, having to uninstall flow control is whatever as I was using it for led syncing only, however LED sync seems to have the follow color bounce back and fourth between which device is ahead. IE clc is ahead then graphics card then clc... Otherwise this is some real progress!!!

Led sync still doesn't work for me :( And just wondering why the custom fan curve is only capped at 60c.

A year later and this still isn't fixed. EVGA CLC 280, EVGA X299 Dark, and EVA 1080Ti Kingpin, and I can't get the CLC 280 to do anything except Rainbow.....very frustrating...considering all parts are EVGA.

Same problem. Tried downloading and re-installing Flow Control on its own, to no avail either. I cant get my cooler to change to anything but rainbow. Still investigating.. Will leave updates..

Re: EVGA CLC 280 and EVGA 1080ti FTW 3 LED Issue 2018/12/04 12:41:31 (permalink)
Hey Guys.  I just completed my build (9900k) and ran into this issue too.  I have the CLC 280 and x2 gtx 1080 FTWs.

The problem for me at least, of the LEDs not syncing only happens when both flow control and precision are installed at the same time but if you only install precision, then the CLC does not show up in led sync.  So you must only install flow control and use the LED sync option from the flow control app.  The moment you install precision and try to use the led sync option from that app you will run into bugs.

So bottom line, to get everything to sync upon computer boot or restart is: 1. Delete Precision 2. install flow control and set it to start with computer, minimized. 3. install MSI afterburner...

EDIT: Forgot to mention I am not using the stock EVGA fans.  I am using 140mm Corsair LL fans plugged into a commander pro.  If anyone is wondering this combo is fantastic!  I have a really nice 9900K though but still, this combo keeps my CPU under check at 5ghz/1.280V, LLC Turbo, 0 AVX Offset.
