Specifically I want to run a Intel Core i3-7100T 3.4 GHz Dual-Core LGA 1151 Processor
on a Gigabyte GA-B250-FinTech MB.
 
Will this work?

    Yes they are compatible.  Why i3-7100T?  I know it just consume 35W (max) but it is overkill for mining rig.

    Thanks for the replies.  If I stopped mining the i3 might be more useful than the celeron.

    Well I have 3 EVGA 1300 G2 Power Supplies and None of them would Power on my EVGA X299 FTW K Motherboard.
    I also tested with a Corsair AX 1200 Power Supply and it would also Not Power On this Motherboard.
    I ended up using my EVGA 1600 G2 to Power it up.
    Overkill yes but the only Power Supply I had on hand an I cannot buy a new one at the same cost and because I hit my limit to buy anymore from EVGA.
    All I really wanted was a 850 to 1200 but as I said my limit stopped me and the cost went up over $100 on EVGA's Website.
