Good afternoon all! I just have a quick question regarding my GTX 780 Ti SC. I ended up getting a new monitor because my old one finally died after 8 years. I ended up getting the Acer Predator X34P, and let me say that this monitor is beautiful. I did OC the monitor to run at the 120hz instead of 100hz which that works fine. What I've notice is though, if I go into the NVidia control panel and set my refresh rate to 120, my screen goes black. I tried this same monitor on a friends computer that has a Titan X and it works fine. Does the EVGA GTX 780 Ti SC not work at the refresh rate @ 3440x1440? I am able to play games pretty well (as long as everything is set to medium and some high). At 100hz, everything works great! Just wondered if maybe I'm pushing this card a little too far.

I am using the original DP cable. I will go out and grab one, and report back later tomorrow. Currently most stores around me that would have those cables is closed. lol

Maybe it's a driver issue. Try using the same video driver the titan x was running.

Yeah, I've tried doing a clean install of the drivers, and still the same issue. Like I said in my original post, at least it still works on the 100hz refresh rate. I'll just wait for the next cards to come out, and cry a little inside when I can't get one haha. I'll still keep working on trying different things to get this to work, but yeah, these cards are getting a little older. Oh well, but if I find out anything, I will update this post.

I have a GTX 760 and it will only support 2560 x 1440p at 120hz. My monitor supports 144hz at that resolution. This is with the dp connection. My GTX 980ti will support 144 hz at 1440p. I think it's just a limitation of the 700 series cards.

 Old!!! No 780Ti is what...3-4 years old. I have some 780's and 2x 690's that went through heck and still kicking like new, 780 its not an old card at all, maybe was weaker card in production time but also, the way someone was maybe handling them, that makes a difference, but its definitely its not oldddddddd, I'm old

Been having a similar issue.  Used to game on 2x 55" 1080p HDTVs, but my dog knocked one over and broke it, so I finally decided upgrading to 2x 55" 4k HDTVs, and ever since the signal blacks out occasionally {more like long flashes} and the cards are running very hot constantly.  At idle they run around 46-56c, when watching videos on YT, etc 65-76c, and streaming Twitch, Netflix, Amazon, etc 81-93c. {<--or while playing simple pixel games}
 
Obviously its the 4K screen, even simulating 1080p its a massive drain on these older cards not designed for 4K.   Been trying to upgrade to 1080ti forever, but ya know cryto-rush has made it impossible, until tonight, was finally able to nab a 1070ti Hybrid from EVGA {would have preferred the 11gb GDDR5x but $660 was already high, not gonna spend $1200+  for one GPU.}    Not sure how long they've been avail, but yay!?
