As it has always been - the Elite allows you a custom color shroud for a little extra $

I bought a GTX 1080 Ti FTW3 Elite last friday from EVGA so its been in stock since then. I have to say i love the card and it runs 10 degrees cooler than my 1080 Ti black edition did at higher clocks.

The Elite program has not been discontinued as some have posted. Certain cards were, like the incredible 6797 (elite gaming ftw3 11G-P4-6797-K1 and -K2), with that unmatched 528.3 GB/s memory bandwidth. 
 
The best thing to do is NOT check web sites every day, just register here on EVGA to be notified when stock is back in. That's how I got my 6797 back in December of 2017. And there are no power issues (???), and still overclocks a little bit.

My guess is that Nvidia is no longer manufacturing Pascal chips since the next generation is right around the corner. Therefore most manufacturers don't have chips to manufacture new cards with and they are just selling off what they have stockpiled. My guess is that they didn't have any stockpile of the less popular Elite card colors or the Hydro copper since they weren't high volume sellers. I back this up by the fact that when you selected an Elite card the button was Build to order instead of add to cart.

Yeah I noticed the Hydro Coppers are no longer listed and the waterblocks they have left remaining are on sale now. 

I guess I won't be getting new Hydro Coppers unless I buy the blocks separately while they still have em.
