Sc black edition is just fine. Sc2 just has rgb lighting and sensors, sc black edition is a better value than sc2 and ftw3 as you can use msi afterburner and aren’t restricted to using the buggy precision xoc software. Precision xoc is garbage and gives me horrid keyboard input lag and makes my windows start up time so slow. I also haven’t been able to overclock on precision xoc it makes my card unstable where as in afterburner my card has been able to reach insanely high overclocks stable no crashing.

Ranma, don’t be rude. He asked a genuine question. Regardless of starting a new thread for it. Better than spamming one topic with off topic questions and going off track

1080 ti Sc black edition is the best value card. It’s what I use. If you want a 1080 ti. Also make sure your case has good airflow and make sure to make a custom fan curve for the card. My cards fan curve came at 0 percent fan speed to the temp limit and I did not like that.

Depending upon your case setup and tolerance for noise you may prefer a Hybrid model.  They are pretty much plug and play.

I say he gets the Sc black edition, to see what he likes and has a tolerance for, then he has the option to buy the hybrid kit from evga if he really wants or thinks he needs it.

Not sure how that is going to do with the airflow. ACX style coolers need a lot of air flow to remove the heat dumped into the case by the GPU cooler.

does the hybrid mean that is has a shorter lifespan? wouldn’t it have a higher failure rate because of the water pump?

3 year warranty with evga. Your safe there.. you can even buy a 5 year extension on top.

Graphics card love low temps. The lower the longer the card will last.

Plus you won't be dumping all that heat in your case.

    It's a win win.

I would recommend the FTW 3 hybrid as well unless you like that fan turbine noise in your case...

Not that bad really.. not a high pitch sound but you'll hear them. Much better then runing a single or 2 fan card.. but one would still want water cooling for the best sound.

We're lucky enough when Jacob is listing basicly every day around 5pm eastern standard time 5 days a week.. it's slowed a little lately though and prob why the price keeps rising as fewer and fewer cards can be sold.
