I've been looking forward to seeing these come out since I drooled over the Echo Show. The only thing that held me back was dealing with Amazon's limitations and in the ability to strike deals with google or youtube.
I'm excited to see more of these google assistant smart displays and see them reviewed.

Announced at CES 2018, the first Google Assistant smart displays are expected to launch in the summer. Lenovo, JBL, Sony, and LG have all announced devices that adopt the new form factor, with the latter company’s ThinQ WK9 now available for pre-order.

Smart displays feature a touschreen for interacting and receiving verbal cues from Google Assistant. For example, users can see directions, recipes, videos, and Actions, while a camera allows for video conferencing through Duo.
LG’s ThinQ WK9 has an 8-inch screen, camera, and rather hefty speakers “Tuned by Meridian Audio.” It is powered by Qualcomm’s SD624 Home Hub Platform, with the smart display recently arriving on B&H Photo Video for pre-order.
Spotted by Droid-Life, it costs $296.99 though the listing is devoid of specs or images. The retailer interestingly refers to it as a “Google Assistant Smart Speaker With Touchscreen.” Availability is noted as “Coming Soon.”
Lenovo announced two smart displays at CES 2018 ranging in price from $199 to $249. Meanwhile, JBL’s Link View is similar to LG’s with sizable front-facing speakers. Sony was also tipped to be a smart display maker, but has yet to show off a model.

I read some posts in another thread where they didn't like Echo. Wonder if this one is better.

It seems like all major companies are coming out with voice assistant devices. I don't know if 300 dollars is worth the investment. If anyone gets the LG model please let us know what you think about it.

I have the Echo Spot, it’s pretty cool.
I use the newer amazon FireHD w/ Alexa tablet as a bigger version.

    Good God.

Do these users not realize they are the product?

Most people know Alexa, Google, Facebook, and others are listening. Nothing is free.

I have the new Amazon Fire HD10 tablet. First thing I did was disable Alexa lol..  It's a nice tablet, particularly awesome for media, more so if you are an Amazon Prime member, and of course it also has Netflix and similar apps. It's also significantly cheaper than any non-Amazon tablets with similar specs. One of the downsides is that Amazon restricts their GUI so you can't customize your home screen at all, and it doesn't have Google Play Store. Some 'crossover' productivity apps have been created for the Amazon App Store, but so far have not been as good - like Gmail, but they are written by third parties and miss some features, and in a few cases have screwed things up for users. Amazon's own default email app isn't great (fine for basic use though) and their calendar apps have some compatibility issues with Google/Outlook Calendars as well. It would be nice if they at least allowed Google to put their gmail and calendar app in the Amazon App Store, but expecting any cooperation between these two is clearly hoping for too much. Stuck with Silk browser. You can sideload some apps, including Chrome, but there can still be issues. Basically it's a great media tablet, but not so great for productivity - I think that's what they intended, and also to keep users within the Amazon microcosm, in which case they achieved their goal.
