I bought this GPU about a month ago from getting a lucky price: 08G-P4-5186-KR
Yeah the card is not beautiful. I can't say if I'm happy with it or not and I'm thinking of selling to get closer to 1080ti in the future or investing into water-cooling, or something else.
What should I do?

Most people would consider that card very good considering how almost impossible and expensive it is to get a 1080 ti nowadays. The question is what do you do with your graphics card? Do you play games more often or do you render videos, etc? Do you play at 1080p ultra or 1440p? If you play at 1080p or 1440p, a 1080 is actually very powerful and capable of playing almost every game at max settings.

So it really depends on what you use your PC for. If you say you got a great price for it, might as well use it!

Yeah I was just looking for some advice thanks, I'm going to look at water cooling for overclocking and appreciate my lucky price in the mining craze.

First of all, does your model of graphics card is compatible with liquid the blocks available? considering the market now, maybe it would be good to sell it now and get a better graphics when the new ones lunch. Mind you, you will have no better odds than all the zombies who are craving for buying GPUs in  day 1. You must see if what you have is vital or not, if it isn't maybe just go ahead and get a quick buck

New generation Gaming cards most likely won't come before Q3 / Q4 2018 and custom cards and general availability of the cards will be a mess, plus the MRSP.

@Topic-Creator: Keep the card, it is a rock solid card. Check if there are waterblocks for it, full cover ones, and then build a custom loop for it. Go with a 240mm or 280mm radiator for the card (cool and silent) and then you can OC it and still have very good temps.

But before that, I would most likely test how much you can give it on air, to see where the max is. If you are unlucky and got a card which is not very OC friendly, then watercooling for the sake of OC won't make much sense.

If you have registered your product and it was bought new and from a valid seller you could apply for a stepup.

I would honestly hold onto it for now. The 1080 is still one of the best cards on the market, and being as it's hard enough to find a 1080 Ti in stock at a decent price anyway, I see no sense in getting upgrade happy. But if you can get into a step-up like Rj mentioned, that might not be a bad option if you don't mind the upgrade fee. Don't expect too much from overclocking, but you might pickup 5-15% depending on the games you play assuming you get a decent overclock on the card. All honesty though, even just a single one of my 980 Ti's can run all my games I play maxed(accept ARK) @1440p with plenty of framerates to spare. and you're running a 1080 so you're in better shape then me What resolution are you playing at?

i would say hold onto it until the mining craze is over and wait to buy a new one, unless you wanna sell it for a crazy price and make a little bit of money😂
