"Researchers have discovered critical security flaws in AMD chips that could allow attackers to access sensitive data from highly guarded processors across millions of devices."

...

"CTS-Labs, a security company based in Israel, announced Tuesday that its researchers had found 13 critical security vulnerabilities that would let attackers access data stored on AMD's Ryzen and EPYC processors, as well as install malware on them. Ryzen chips power desktop and laptop computers, while EPYC processors are found in servers."

Clean up crews commence!

Summation: Validity? Who knows. Too early to tell.

Based on what I've read in other articles about this discovery the majority of these flaws can be fixed via software/Bios Updates.

AMD Ryzen 9 7950X,  Corsair Mp700 Pro M.2, 64GB Corsair Dominator Titanium DDR5  X670E Steel Legend, MSI RTX 4090 Associate Code: H5U80QBH6BH0AXF. I am NOT an employee of EVGA

Anything is possible at this point I feel. But realistically not much we consumers can do until AMD comes out, admits it, and creates a fix. But in a world that is run by technology, is it really a surprise that so many flaws are now being uncovered ? It's just a matter of time(as always) that flaws will surface(as they have). Hopefully companies like Intel/AMD can make the best of a bad situation & create more secure products in the future.

This article says at least one of the attacks is hardware based and cant be fixed with a patch.

Now AMD will need to implement a hardware fix just like Intel.

Linus Torvalds really laid out a hammer statement on the research firm that discovered the findings. I wanted to post the article here but he had some very harsh language.

We'll see the validity in the next few weeks by other sources. I don't know the history of CTS Labs and some say it popped up over night so to speak.

That's proof that it was written by Linus himself.

I will add GamersNexus' point of view about this.

TL;DR: It seems the info about the flaws is legit, but maybe the companies that discovered the flaws might have gone short on AMD and are trying to make it look as bad as possible so they can make money with an AMD crash on the stock market.

Gamers Nexus can try to put as much lipstick on this issue and attack the way the security company presented the issue, it's still an issue.

Actually unsubscribed from what I thought was a credible youtube tech channel after it went full retarded over this. Apparently the Dyson ad shill day didn't expose enough of them.
