Hello Everyone,

Is the Evga supernova 1600 t2 power cord wire 110v or 220v ? Some say you have to change the cable cord to 220v if you want to use 220v . An Evga support team told me no need to buy a new cable but just need to get an universal adapter to my country wall socket. So it indicate that the wire can be plug into a 220v socket.
Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

AC Input voltage for an EVGA SuperNOVA 1600 T2 (as with most all PSUs) is from 115 - 240 VAC, 17-10A, 50 - 60 Hz and will auto-switch..The cable will handle 220V.

You can use an adapter, which will work fine, but buying the proper cable would be best.

You can find those cables just about anywhere that sells PCs and parts..EVGA has the cable too, you can contact them..You can also buy just the 220V wall plug end at hardware/electrical stores if you're into replacing just the plug on your existing cable.

^^^This is absolutely correct. Years and years ago PSUs were either 110/115 or 220VAC. Later there was a physical switch to change them from 110/115 to 220VAC and vice versa. Then PSU manufacturers found it was cheaper to make auto sensing PSUs that would work worldwide with only the wall outlet power cable being different.

    Thanks guys.

I've been using this kind of US plug-to-EU socket adapter for my PSU..Also have some of this kind of adapters for other things..They work fine here so far..Using no adapters would be better, especially for high-power PSUs.
