I got the e-mail from EVGA that they had Hydro Coppers back in stock. Unfortunately I had to use some of my PC money for emergency purposes and couldn't pull the trigger this time.
The waiting game continues, but I'm not too bummed as I haven't got much of the system yet anyhow. Hopefully prices start coming to earth soon :D

Don't expect Nvidia pricing to drop much if any more, they're getting propped up at this point by High Ram Prices.
AMD on the other hand still has some room to drop - but we're not going to see the pricing of a year ago for that High Ram Pricing reason.
Now that vorsholk has stopped his abuse, I'm returning to folding. I no longer MOO due to abuses by certain "whales" in the Gridcoin community - so I now work the Distributed.net project directly again.

I am finally upgrading in about 2 months, however i started looking a few months ago and my 1080 hybrid was like 570 then...now its like 730!

Blame the RAM shortage for most or all of that - coupled with that $570 price sounds like a Black Friday sale price.

I find that hard to picture, as I haven't seen ANY 1080 that low this year.

There was, in stock no,,,the higher model came in stock and was like 630...still much cheaper than current :(

Don't let the gamers know about this, they may start demanding folding and crunching die.” Right, because folders are buying cards by the thousands. Let’s be real. Mining has put a huge demand on the market and when it crashes it will then flood the market with trash cards. Let’s just hope with the surge of money Nvidia and AMD are receiving with high volume of sales they create a new line of cards just for mining.

Wait summer, if you can. Then, if a new generation of cards does not bring the price down - nothing will. RAM has the same issue, and it looks like things are finally getting better there - "discounts" are showing up here and there.
