Hi

Last night for some unknown reason my pc power supply stopped working (evga supernova 1300 g2)
I replaced the power supply, but now my 1080 ti ftw3 G led is red other LEDs are green

As soon as I power on the PC , Card has a red G LED

I have tried uninstalling precision x and install again with no outcome
Just a side note when fitst time I installed precession x about 1 month back it asked me to update the firmware which I did

So now I am really worried that issue in power supply has damaged my card

Can someone please suggest

Thank you
Ali

    Try this...

    #1 Shutdown your pc.
    #2 Unplug psu from wall.
#3 Press and hold case power on button for 30 seconds.
#4 Plug psu back into wall & start the system.

Change the LED colors, all of them to red. Shut down the PC. Change them all to the colors you want them... Worth a try anyway.

Does using the secondary vbios produce the same issue?

To the left of the dual 8-pin power inputs on the card there is a vbios switch you can move to use the secondary vbios.

Note: You'll need to do post #2 again after moving the vbios switch to the other position.

I found the switch, It says

    Normal
    OC

Current position of switch is Normal.
So you want me to change the switch to OC and Shutdown the System , remove power, press power On for 30 sec and then power in.
    Right ?

Did that, changed switch to OC, and powered off as recommended.
but still same, the G LED is still blinking as RED, GREEN..
and when i start Precision X, it says

    "No supported hardware detected!"

Hi there, check this out: https://youtu.be/KNDxfuTq-xw
The guy having this problem solved it by completely performing a blank install of PrecisionX and nVidia drivers.

Yes, i Tried that, but no use, PC is not detecting the card at all, no GPU in device manager, also when i try to install drivers, it says  there is no compatible hardware.

All I can think is to make sure the card is fully seated in the pci-e slot. Sometimes you get hung up on the i/o plate were it won't fully push in and the card will be on a slight angle.

I know this is an old thread, but I just had this problem all of a sudden too. In my case one of the cards' power cables was not sitting right. Once I pushed it back in, it was fine.

Not to raise a dead thread but in case anyone else runs into the issue and searches for it...

This seems to be a problem unique to the FTW. I just bought a used one off ebay to use in a new PC I was building my kids. Same problem. Flashing 1st LED. It's not drivers. It won't even post. That's far earlier in the startup cycle than drivers are even considered. Did a ton of reading up on others with the problem before I accept it's not something stupid I overlooked and return it. This card has a vastly different VRM layout than Evga's own 1080ti SC2 sister and I think it's something in that unique system that is particularly finicky about power. Wouldn't post in the new system on a 800w PSU, pulled and moved to my personal machine with an evga 850w that currently had a 1080ti Superclocked in it. Still wouldn't post. Returned it, told the seller what was going on and he swears it's running fine in his machine with a 1000w psu when he got it back. Sounds like in evga's attempt to overbuild this card it got cursed with some kind of instability without the absolute best PSU supporting it.

Or my seller was just trying to scam me.
