Delidding improvement for Ryzen?

I'm toying with the idea of delidding my 1600 to eek a bit more MHz out of it (I can run 3.95ghz stable currently, but would like to see if I can push above 4ghz).  Has anyone tried this, or is there a good guide?

    AMD's heat spreader is soldered to the core on that CPU. I would not attempt to de-lid as you will most likely destroy the CPU doing so. Thermal conductivity of the solder they use is better than any TIM out there. De-lidding this CPU would actually make your temps worse .

    Delid would most likely to destroy cpu itself. It would require special tools and experience.

    With prices of first gen Ryzens a lot lower it probably would be better just to buy a 1700(X) or 1800(X) if you want more performance. Or wait until April when the 2nd gen AMD YZEN CPUs are due to be out and see if there are further price drops.

    Do not de-lid your Ryzen CPU, you stand a big chance of permanently damaging your processor.
    3 Degrees average improvement if you de-lid your Ryzen CPU - not worth it.

    as said no point in it unless you get one of the new APU's which amd decided to use the same tooth paste tim as intel.

    it is some garbage tim dude...it's worse than mx4 I think even....

    since it is soldered I would not recommend that and there is little performance to gain anyway, it is not like Intel.

    I do not know got some Haswell block on this now, seems to be ok. waiting on the meaner pump. 
    that time a year man warming up and got all these higher ambients again...I am looking at a delid tool though I don't know if I want to try or not....
