    Good point - But . . .

    Whats a Warranty ??? (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  )
. . . surgically inserting an XSPC Ion Res into the Deepcool 240 AIO
. . . drilling holes in the Parvum S2.5 case
     . . . de-lidding the i7 7700K
. . . by-pass surgery on the enermax Everest Fan temp sensors
. . . replacing GTX backplate with custom piece
. . . shipping those one-of-a-kind hand made Glass Dragon tubes from California to the outlands of Denmark
. . . acquiring a Gigabyte GA-Z270MX-Gaming 5 mATX motherboard via Amazon International via US via UK finally to Denmark - because Gigabyte EU decided not to be in the mATX business in Europe (not distributed in EU) . . . figure that out (???) - and BTW ... that voids the warranty (?????)

    So, basically . . . I'm good with a little paint !!!!!
    (I'm also a sarcastic SOB !!! - so, hope I don't offend)
it's all in Good FUN - AND an attempt at being a little creative

i.e.  . . .  this is what it takes - finally gettin' that motherboard to Denmark

    [so - me and Maradona got a little sum-in in comm-in !!!]

Hey Guys . . . thanks for the Good words
This has been a slow but FUN build - just my second - but I have learned so much on this journey
. . . and have had HUGE scope creep, as well !!!
None of this could have been possible without tremendous help from my New Friends on-line, as well as, my Other Friends in the US and UK  (at times it has been quite frustrating sourcing items to Denmark - but that has been half the challenge !!!)

Hope you enjoy some of the detail (and the nonsense !!!) I hope to share, nearly as much as I have pulling it all together.

    Cheers,

     . . . working the CASE ... for a NEW PROJECT

This Project was fully inspired after stumbling upon some pictures of Parvum cases while doing some post-mortem web surfing.
I had a BAD case of the withdrawals after completing my first ever build for my 10 year old son - delivered Christmas 2016.

So I reached out to the Parvum Boys in the UK to see if we could work something out . . . interesting AND within my small budget!
And so the FUN began . . .

Shortly after researching endless Parvum past projects ... it became obvious - Choosing a Project Name was essential
. . . didn't take long - and, ICE Dragon was settled   . . . then on to the logo design

then packaging the idea drawings and sending off to Parvum . . . they Amazingly rendered out EXACTLY what I was after (First Round!!!)    . . . oh yeah, and I totally needed their retro design ... back to ROUND Fan Grills

Welcome custom Parvum S2.5 mATX - ICE Dragon

That's a very cool project Spike, seems you have learned quite a bit through your builds. I think that is part of the fun. Sorry to hear about availability issues, that makes it tough. Those glass tubes are very unique, give quite a nice look. In picture 11 [last pic] what are the yellow number call outs for? I'm a bit slow, it maybe obvious.... Keep us posted on progress. +1

    @notfordman

    . . . thanks
no worries ... my bad - should give a little more info . . .

the Parvum S2.5 case I ordered has 12 Acrylic panels

You have essentially unlimited options for a custom case - but I chose a base model to start with

For each panel you can choose from several different colours- and then add your own designs

So I started with this 12 panel sample and sent along my specifications for production

Also makes for an easy case to work with

    Ah yeah . . .

The case is shipped - flat packed - and you assemble by joining all the panels with special assembly cubes . . . So, completely modular

Most in-depth modding almost always voids a warranty

     . . . yeah - I'm lovin' me some Parvum !!!

But ... for some REAL inspiration check out some of the Parvum projects from these Guys . . .

    JamesWalt1
    JR23
    niklot1981
    snef
    Mads1
    lever2stacks

     . . . just to name a few

BTW - I think that if I were back in the States ... I'd probably be more conscience of Warranty requirements . . . it's just -  making things according to the way you want takes soooo much more effort when the resources are so much more difficult to locate - then, otherwise, you have to get quite clever on how to acquire the items you need - which, then  takes you beyond the fringes of warranty boundaries to begin with

. . . so if you start out - 'out of warranty' just because of your location - then you got less to lose from being creative

. . . one last word (well unlikely 'last') on the Parvum Case

[BTW- this project is fully sponsored by ME  - cha-ching $$$]

The ONE important trait you must possess, should you be intrigued by a custom Parvum case is - PATIENCE
(the Quality and Pride of ownership  - always makes your patience worth while)

There is the option to get one of their 'retail' models - if timing is one of your priorities . . .
My recommendation [note to self for NEXT build... definitely another Parvum) is - WAIT until you have your Case in hand before acquiring your major components (especially if we have another year like 2017 !!!) - if you want to insure building with current generation components.

    (but - then ... that's always the issue - isn't it ? !!!)

    Cheers
