GTX 980ti drivers won't install

Did a new install of windows 10 and whenever I try to install my drivers the screen will go black halfway through and it won't come back. Tried installing 388.71 and 390.77 and used DDU several times just in case after each failed attempt.
 
Edit: I decided to crack it open and see if there was anything odd going on. This is the one thing that stood out and it smelled kind of odd, as if it was burnt. Should I RMA this or try to send it to the local distributor?

    +1 to RMA, unless the distributor can replace quicker with the same product(unlikely)

    wow another burnt evga card  .   I sure feel the drivers geared for 10 seires cards are the cause of this in some way  seeing how ther driver kicks in the cards power states  , or evga just gets some substandard parts  at the factory   . a lot of threads on this  to me  over the last few months
