i vote for, $10 at 4mil and $20 at 8mil. But thats just me being greedy and not caring about my power costs.

It's only ever been $5-$10.  It has never gone to $20.  Evga will let us know how things will go in due time.

Based on your greed for the next year the new Standard for darussian12 will be: $5.00 First 20 Million $10.00 for the Second 40 Million.

Well I personally hope it doesn’t go up, with all the mining out there cards are too expensive for me to stay in the latest technology.

Folding whatever I can :o)

but... you have $120 EVGA bucks from last year?! that's enough to even make a 1060, when in stock, cheap. the in stock part though is tough right now but a 1060 can get you 10 million a month....

my 970 takes 12 days continuous operation to make the 4 mil. maybe the upcoming year and product cycle will work things out, but as it is, there aren't too many upgrade options available. would be hard to justify running 24 days to earn evga bucks that i can't use for a card i want because it's never in stock. i hope they don't jack the levels too much, but since people have rigs that can do 4M points in like 90 minutes, they probably will.

That's someone who has a 72M ppd rig, only Vorsholk has something that powerful and he rents that power, doesn't own the physical cards because, well we won't get into the name calling.  If you folded for the entire previous year, you have 120 bucks that you can use.  With the new cards rumoured to be coming out in April/May it's the perfect time to upgrade as it should be a 30% increase in production of points per card.

Statistically speaking -- has anyone looked into totaling all active Team EVGA members and getting a mean average on a daily/weekly/monthly basis? And then basing new EVGA Bucks levels on that? That's my "mean" post for today (pun intended).

Re: EVGA Folding @ Home Year 10 2018/02/20 07:39:15 (permalink)
Exactly! If you take the 479 current active users generating an average 322K per day per person, and then multiplying by 30 days, the total comes out to @ 9.7 million per person point production monthly average. Break that in two and levels of 4 million to 5 million points per 5 EVGA Bucks (up to 8-10 million points for 10 E-bucks) is a fair deal, don't you think?

not everyone has a computer they can dedicate to folding 24/7.
Not everyone can afford to fold 24/7,  I'm sure plenty of people still run 780's or 960/970 and would struggle to hit 10million a month.  What happens to users barely making 10 million a month if stanford's server goes down for 4 days?
