Hi I have few questions with regards how to connect the PSU to various components. (Some questions might be really stupid but I just want to ensure that I do everything right)


 

1. The motherboard 24pin cable is: 1 side with one long header and second side is split into two headers. Which one goes to PSU and which one goes to motherboard? (I understand that the second end that is split into 2, we snap it togheter and plug it like it would be a one header?)
2. There is only one cable for the 24pin on mb right? (I.e there are no extra small cables that I connect to that socket 24pin)
3. the CPU1 should go into motherboard EATX12V ? Again how can I check which side goes to CPU and which to motherboard?
4. There are two sets of VGA cards one is 8pin header and 2pin header + 6 pin header. (Second is a 8pin header to 6pin header (splitted) OR 2pin +6pin header). Which one should I use for my GFX (it's a 8 pin socket) I guess I use the first (2pin+6pin) and I plug them togheter like one cable yes (snap the 6+2)? Again which side of cable goes to PSU and which goes to the graphics?
5. Anything else I should know while plugging things to PSU

A one last quick question: I can plug GPU to any VGA for instance One GPU to VGA1 and another to VGA3? Or Do I need to follow the order Ie (VGA1 then VGA2.)

For the 6+2 and 6pin cable you would use VGA 5 and 6. For the 6+2 only cables you would use VGA  1~4.

They are the cables that have a 6+2pin connection and a 6pin connection for the video card. There is two of them included with the 1000w G2 power supply.

I have already connected 4 GPUs with 4 cables to PSU(EVGA SuperNOVA 850 G2). Can I use CPU1 or CPU2 to connect 5th GPU? Is there a power difference in VGA vs CPU slots? Cable and slot looks exactly the same though. 
 
Or PERIF1 slot? Are there any PERIF to VGA/PCI-E power cable converter? or CPU cable to VGA cable converter? 
 
 

VGA ports on the EVGA G2 series are NOT the same pinout as CPU ports, so you'll need a custom cable or you can use an adapter off of an EVGA CPU cable like Sajin mentioned.
 
You could use a Periph port via a Molex cable chain to a Molex to PCI-E 6-pin adapter, or a PAIR of Periph ports via a PAIR of MOLEX cable chains to a dual MOLEX to PCI-E 8-pin adapter.
 
A single MOLEX *connector* is rated to handle the power draw of a PCI-E 8-pin port, but the CABLES are not so you need 2 cables to handle the draw of an 8-pin PCI-E port to be safe.
 

im looking to make make and sleeve my own cables, can anyone tell me if the supernova 750 G2 has a pinout diagram the only one i found was this one. can anyone confirm that this pinout diagram is correct
