I bought Sc17 recently from ebay, I want to know to setup my laptop as if it came fresh from Evga, and also how to setup recovery, so in case of issues, it becomes easier to restore my laptop.

just use the tool from windows it self and do a Reset !
FYI EVGA stock HDD image is almost stock windows with EVGA precision X mobile
EVGA SC17 - 1070 No/GSYNC If only the 4K display didn't ghost that much :'(

No problem happy to help :) a Tip for you I installed a modded driver for the touch pad to enable Windows precision driver much better ! highly recommended
EVGA SC17 - 1070 No/GSYNC If only the 4K display didn't ghost that much :'(

where did you get those drivers from ? Is it part of the driver download ? Thank you for all your tips.

Okay I refreshed my laptop yesterday with latest and greatest version of Windows 10 - I did it using Windows "Fresh Start" option. Which said it will erase out everything, interestingly though I still didn't get the option where when you start brand new Laptop it should give you like Welcome to Windows and ask all sorts of terms and condition things and same should happen from EVGA. (As that is what I've been seeing on all my previous DELL / Sony machines).
Am I missing anything in terms of Windows RESET here ?

Are there actual instructions for creating a O/S "restore" disk? I wasn't sure the process ... it has been ages since I last had to do anything like this from a retail laptop. My concern was I don't have a product key ... so I presume the key is baked into the EVGA provided O/S image.

I didn't find way to create Restore disc - but I was able to RESET my Laptop - I followed instruction in this thread https://www.evga.com/support/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=59633 It took good 4-5 hours for laptop to reset and come to point where OS was ready for reinstall. Problem that I ran in after reinstall of OS is download of drivers from EVGA site. Seems like site goes down more often during 8-11pm EST

That is very interesting symptoms - same thing is not happening if I use my iMac - I was able to download everything from evga website, whereas from my laptop at the same time, if I try to goto www.evga.com - it gives me site not available error message. I tried it from Chrome as well as from MS Edge and both browsers came back with same message, whereas at the same time my iMac was downloading from evga website just fine. What is going on here ?
