1. If I get this cpu: https://siliconlottery.co...lake/products/8600k53g would I be able to run it 5.3ghz on this z370 classified board?
2. The software for the sound card on this board, does it have an equalizer?
3. I have M.2 nvme ssd. Does the port share with the x16 directly to CPU or the chipset?

Thank you very much!

    1. Yep, as long as your cpu cooler can handle it.
    2. Not exactly sure, but most likely.
    3. Chipset PCH.

I'm not 100% sure but I believe the Creative audio software is the same as the Z87 Classified that I have.
If it is, then yes, there is an equalizer.

What kind of memory can I order for this system?  I was thinking of order a Corsair Vengence LPX 16Gbx2 kit DDR4.  I see some have different timings, etc.  Thanks.
Btw, has anyone gotten or used the 32GB DIMMs yet?

I was also going to double check, I ordered this processor, Intel Core i7-8700K Coffee Lake 6-Core 3.7 GHz (4.7 GHz Turbo) LGA 1151 (300 Series) 95W BX80684I78700K Desktop Processor Intel UHD Graphics 630, should it work fine?
Does anyone know if this heatsink will fit on this motherboard?  Noctua NH-D15 6 heatpipe with Dual NF-A15 140mm fans

    Thanks for your help.

Noctua web site says NH-D15 fits on this board. I have NH-D15s.

I ended up getting the slim Noctua heatsink so it did not cover the memory. I saved money for now and only got 32GB (16×2) memory. Funny the Noctua is so tall. It blocks a whole place for where a video card would go in my veddha frame.

Pretty much below a 100c my understanding. I think you should be on water though, I would. It don't help either with high ram speeds/xmp and higher dram voltages..on board memory controller stuff. runs hotter try to drop you dram voltage alittle etc.

I can hardly imagine you'll be technically happy with a slim Noctua. When cooling the 8700k by air it has to be high end, like Noctua NH-D15 or BeQuiet Dark Rock Pro 3. Both are rediculously big and cover almost half of a board but they do their job very well. The alternatives would be water cooling or delidding the 8700k what would make him work with a smaller cooler. A friend runs a delidded(!) 8700k with a Noctua NH-U12S with a 2nd fan on it. So far so happy.

Since I am planning my 8700k system right now I would be grateful if anyone on air could give me some temps of their 8700k when on full load (e.g. Prime95 etc.) and what cooler there is. @rgrosvenor007: What cooler are you exactly running and how are temps on load right now? Is your 8700k delidded?

I would advise not to want to run p95 and avx like that it will probably want to go to 90-100c...

Modern CPUs, like 8700k, throttle their frequency or even shut down when there is too much heat. So there is no danger at all and 90° is pretty okay when doing some short tests. If Prime95 causes his CPU to do so he needs to upgrade the cooler anyways. So this would be the best way to find out how stable it runs. That's exactly what almost all reviews do.
