On the bottom there is sliding mechanism. What is that for? I have attached a picture. Thanks.

It changes* the led from white, to red, to green, to blue. Each of the 4 positions lights a different color led to change the color of the led lighting that shows EVGA on the face of the bridge.

Thanks. Not seeing any performance increase over the OEM SLI connector that came with the motherboard. I think I read that's normal?

Really depends on a lot of things. What cards are you using, what games are you playing, what drivers are you using? These are all important.

980ti Hybrid SLI. Firestrike benchmarks are pretty much the same. Use the latest drivers when available.

The high bandwidth bridge is meant for the 1000 series graphics cards and the 900 series wouldn’t leverage it the same. So you wouldn’t see much of a difference at all. You just get the extra lighting colors and the capability to use the bridge with newer cards and keep the high bandwidth function.
The older lighted bridges also have the high bandwidth capability and they were supported, but the HB features are truly leveraged by the 1070 and higher cards.

The logo no longer illuminates. I slid the slider but nothing happens. Any fix for this?

Maybe the light burnt out? Only way to fix that would be to solder in another led, or to buy another bridge.
