When using speedfan on the micro it takes like several seconds (5-15) to get the fans/pump up to speed, like there is a curve set. 
This is for noise a nice feature but not so much if my CPU goes hot quick and I need to displace the heat.
 
Can this be an option so we can turn it off so it's more direct?

and I'm controlling these with the fan headers

and all display the same ramping up behaviour. 
 
please note that I tried all components on a ASUS board and there they just respond 'instantly' to rpm changes.

OK the EKWB D5 pump doesn't draw 30 watts as it power supply is directly connected to the PSU and only the PMW signal is controlled by the motherboard.
 
I did try only connect one fan and changing the speeds (which does work as I stated before) but the ramp up/down of speed has curve to it which in a lot of cases is not wanted.
 
that it's not supported or being negated by the smart is not the case as talking to the smart interface clearly works. I just think there is a function in place that prevents quick RPM changes and does it via a slow easeIn and easeOut curve.

I’m now on 06 with some fan curves but I tried 05 with default settings just now and same results

Ok, this is what I tested now on the following bioses 04 05 and 06
all tests I did were with different separate fans
 
default settings on bios and a separate tests with custom curves on bios. 
 
all results are the same.. they have slow (ease) ramp up/down speeds
 

Use a USB Flash Drive and in the Bios Press F12 to snap the screens.
Some screens you will need to page down and Press F12 to snap the bottom.
They are saved as a .bmp file and you can then open them in Paint and save them as a .jpg to make them smaller in size.

I checked with our BIOS team.  As you guessed earlier, the board was designed to have a slow fan response time to prevent sudden changes while the fans are being controlled by the BIOS.  There's no alternate setting to allow instant fan correction, such as you're trying to do with Speedfan.  So, the board is behaving as intended.
 
We are considering making a BIOS that will allow users to be able to use instant fan changes, so 3rd party programs can make quick changes; I'll update you when I know more.  In the meantime, it is expected that changing the fan speed will result a slow curve to its intended speed target.

Will this become a new official BIOS release?
