It makes some sense in both, since it involves both.
Probably would make a bit more sense in the Folding or Crunching section though.

Now that vorsholk has stopped his abuse, I'm returning to folding.
I no longer MOO due to abuses by certain "whales" in the Gridcoin community - so I now work the Distributed.net project directly again.

Why is this posted in the Cryptocurrency section and not in the Folding/Crunching section when the point of the poll is "Why the stopped activity with Team EVGA" ?

It was easier to create One Thread than Two Threads and it is about members who have left to start running under other Teams now.
It started with two but it is more where it should be as this is where most have moved over to in the end.
And it really is Posted Under [Distributed Computing] that are where all Three Sections are located under.

The base Question was "How many Current EVGA Folding and BOINC Team Members have moved over to Mining in 2017/2018?"
This is that area of the Forum as well so I thought it would be best placed here was all when I created the Thread.
My apologies kram36.

The first part of your post makes zero sense as this section probably doesn't get viewed much by folders and crunchers.

The second part. If you want to know if mining is affecting Folding/Crunching, there should be less questioned asked.

1: Have you completely left EVGA Folding/Crunching for mining.
2: Have you switched some of your EVGA Folding/Crunching systems to mining.
3: You were never a part of EVGA Folding/Crunching and are here to give or get mining information.

Some might think this should be added.

4: It's not any of my business what you choose to do with your system/s.

As I said above kram36 my apologies, my intent was not to upset anyone on either EVGA Team.

Why would I want the thread locked? You seem to be looking for specific information and I'm pointing out how you might get the information you're looking for in a better way.

Re: How many EVGA Folding and BOINC Team Members have moved over to Mining in 2017/2018? 2018/03/12 13:40:17 (permalink)
This was the Other Thread How many long time Forum Members (3 or More Years) have stated to Mine in 2017/2018?
I put it here so that the miners that have left an EVGA Team can do the Poll;
their is no since for Current Team Member doing the Poll that is not going to leave one of the EVGA Teams that is.
So for me it was about someone mining now that before was on an EVGA Team that now is not.
Comments or Posts from non Ex-Team Members is not what I was looking for it was only EVGA Team members that I wanted to see or know about that are now miners.
If a Forum Member was never on an EVGA Team then this Poll is not for them and it is none of my business what they do as well with their systems.
It was really only about Current Team Members who have left one of the EVGA Teams and that is all.
So now the question is should we keep moving ahead with our Teams or move away as it seems so many now have done.

The EVGA team is 2nd highest in folding production. Why would we want to move away from such a successful team?

I don't know about the EVGA crunching team, so I have no comment on that.

I am not saying anyone move off any Team.
I am glad that we have an 11th Year for our support for Folding but how much longer will EVGA keep the course.
I do not plan on moving from any EVGA Team myself only not giving as much of an effort.

I have to be honest. You're all over the place with your replies and the title of this thread.

Not really sure about this 3rd degree here kram36.
I just wanted to know how many team members have left one or both of the EVGA Teams to start mining.

I just wanted to know how many team members have left one or both of the EVGA Teams to start mining.

and Cool GTX posted this with no mention of mining.

Cool GTX
@QuintLeo

The Point of the Poll was to get some input from members; about "Why the stopped activity with Team EVGA"

As active membership of  folding &/or Boinc on Team EVGA seemed to happen at the same time activity increased on "other teams"

If one chose not to stop their activity under Team EVGA --> the poll would not apply to them.

For every other possible reason, I added those answers: No - I stopped ------ under EVGA banner Because of other reason

When I inquired why this was in the Cryptocurrency section in which you replied.

bcavnaugh
kram36
Why is this posted in the Cryptocurrency section and not in the Folding/Crunching section when the point of the poll is "Why the stopped activity with Team EVGA" ?

It was easier to create One Thread than Two Threads and it is about members who have left to start running under other Teams now.
It started with two but it is more where it should be as this is where most have moved over to in the end.
And it really is Posted Under [Distributed Computing] that are where all Three Sections are located under.

Then I posted this.

Then you start talking about me wanting your thread locked/moved or whatever and then onto just wanting to know why people left the EVGA teams, then went onto asking if we should move away from the EVGA teams. All I'm trying to do is figure out what the goal of the thread is and when you said about people leaving to mine. I gave a list of better questions as the poll question don't make sense as mining does not require anyone to stop folding/crunching. Now your saying I'm giving you the 3rd degree? Maybe your giving miners the 3rd degree with this thread? Miners get enough guff and miners have every right to pursue their passion as people wanting to play games or fold/crunch. People wishing miners lose everything? What is wrong with people wishing someone losses everything? Just boggles my mind to hope for such a thing.
