Good day EVGA Forums! I have couple of questions I would like to ask. First of all, I do something that I’m sure you’ve heard of called Mining. Question#1: I have “EVGA SuperNOVA 220-T2-1000-X1 (SuperNOVA 1000W T2) I used a hardware to measure how many watts I’m using of it, it showed in the device I’m using 1020 ~ 1040 Watt constantly 24/7. I’ve read that the power supply 10% extra power to consume. Is this true? bad or dangerous or is it okay? Because if it is dangerous I’ll lower the wattage of what I’m using to consume less. Question#2: I have “EVGA SuperNOVA 120-G2-1300-XR (SuperNOVA 1300W G2), I’ve put 4 VGAs as I assume this is the maximum although I’m only using 1000W of it. I want to put extra VGA, but the power supply has only 6 inputs (VGA 1,2,3,4,5,6) in the VGA the important cables for me is VGA cables. 2x 8pin (gives you 8 and 6+2 pins) and 2x 8pin (gives you 6+2 pins). With those I can run only 4 VGAS, 2 VGAS will take the 2x 8pins (gives 8 & 6+2 pins) and 2 VGAS will used the rest 4 outputs each Evga will use 2x 8pins (gives you 6+2 pins) but If I can get more of the 8 pin (gives you 8 and 6+2 pins) I will be able to turn up to 6 VGAs if I want, since each 1x 8pin (gives you 8 pins & 6+2) will feed a whole VGA. Is this possible? if so do you sell sperate 8pins (gives you 8 and 6+2 pins), the main question does it work? Does it effect the GPU? Or it is possible to do? Question3# I have a broken EVGA 220-G2-0850-XR (SUPERNOVA 850W G2) but I have full works fine with no problems at all. It comes with 2x 8pin (gives you 8 and 6+2 pins) can I use them on the on (SuperNOVA 1000W T2, 220-T2-1000-X1) or (SuperNOVA 1300W G2, 120-G2-1300-XR) or (SuperNOVA 1000W P2, 220-P2-1000-XR or 220-PS-1000-V1) or this would cause a problem of failure to any of other devices. Your support & quick response is highly appreciated. If there is anything unclear please reply to me to clarify. Thanks again. Best regards & Thanks,

#1 You need to lower your consumption. #2 Yes it is possible. #3 Yes, you can use the other cables on the other power supplies.

So I read the FAQ but still unclear. What happens if I use cables from say, one an EVGA 750W Gold (don't know the exact model--EVGA has so many it's confusing) and an EVGA 1200W P2? Why are some cables compatible with only certain types of EVGA PSUs? TIA.

There is an Industry Standard for components: MB & GPS and all the rest The end of power cables Must mach the standard to power the component The Output side of a PSU - were the cable connects to the PSU ---> Is NOT standardized..... so ..... that is were the issue resides

EVGATech_JoseC To add on to what Sajin said, if you ever have questions regarding cable compatibility across our power supply's please feel free to use this FAQ as a reference point. https://www.evga.com/supp...mmain.aspx?faqid=59698
Nice Cable Info, added to my Favorites.

What happens if it doesn't match? Could it short the component that's connected to it? How do I find out whether the cables for my 750W 210-GQ-0750-V1 can be used on my 1200W P2? Sorry for the questions, but I asked because I suspect my SSD burned out because of a cable issue.

CORRECT: if the Output on the two different PSU do Not Match, and you swap cables --- bad things can happen --- once you let the magic smoke out Contact customer service Those both EVGA brand PSU ? part number of PSUs and you should have them registered to your account https://www.evga.com/about/contactus/

They are EVGA PSUs, and nothing's wrong with them that I can tell--just a dead SSD. Lesson learned.

Let me see if I understand this correctly. Say I have a G1 and P2 PSU. According to the site you provided above, their pinouts will be different? So if I use the G1's SATA or VGA cable and plug it into the P2, it could fit but not necessarily carry the correct electrical load and potentially burn out the components connected to that cable?
