The Formula is the version of the Maximus with the rear armor seen here. With the DG-87 using built in risers that are a dome shaped rather than traditional and it rubs the edge of the motherboard's armor. It throws off the alignment as I can either align the holes with the motherboard a few cm above the risers or I can force it flush which puts the screw holes outside the pattern's alignment. I know I've seen other DG builds that used these type of Maximus boards(though I haven't seen a Maximus X yet) and I'm wondering if the previous versions had this issue and if so how they got around it.

Also disappointed this case only has 5Gb/s USB 3.1 Type C. For a $300 case I was expecting 10Gb/s. My fault for not researching that to it's fullest but the info on this exact spec isn't clear on EVGA's or other reviews site.

Should be pretty easy to swap out type c ports and put in a gen 2.

Im using the X Hero so no help for the fitment issue.

Definitely not pretty easy. First requirement is to remove the mirrored panel which is a task in itself. Then it looks as if they've used a proprietary mounting method so it would require some heavy modification to the connection point to do a cable swap. It would likely be easier to just cut and drill a new spot for gen 2 output.
