Hi, is there anyone who test if it's possible to install an M.2 adapter card on PCI-Express port (PCIE to M.2) on a Classified SR-X motherboard and if we are able to see the drive as a bootable drive in the BIOS ?  I want to install Windows 10 on a Samsung 960 PRO M.2 drive (With a adapter PCIE installed) and obviously, I want to be able to boot from this drive.  If it's not possible, is there any alternative working on a M.2 drive ?  Like Samsung 950 or other brand ?
Thanks for you help

i used to boot from a PCIe raid controller LSI megaraid no problem on SR 2.
If M.2 adapter card  is old style bios friendly not only uefi it probably work
    if  uefi only :not work

    2x EVGA SR-2 with X5690, 48/96GB RAM.

    2x AMDThreadripper builds with 48GB ram,nvme raid.

there were a few threads here about booting from a nvme m.2, only certain drives work, i think one was the samsung 951 drives, if i remember correctly the 960 drives were a no go for some reason.

If I remember correctly some PCI-E slot in SSD boards didn't work either so it would be gamble to try. It may or may not work.
