Hey, Is it possible to use more than 48GB on EVGA Classified SR-2? I see there is 12slots of RAM. If 48gb is the limit that's pretty sad :(  Is it exist some way to use more?

Hi and welcome to the forums...

If you need an answer quickly, you're best bet may be to contact EVGA support directly > https://www.evga.com/support/

Back in the prime X58 days, 24GB of ram was on the high end.  More common amounts were 6GB & 12GB.  If I recall correctly, 4GB memory modules just came out during that time frame.  My X58 Classified3 (E770) board supported 24GB ram.  Six slots capable of 4GB each.  Your SR2 with 12 Dimm slots makes me think it "officially" supports up to 48GB of ram.  Best to contact EVGA for the answer.  If you have time to wait, maybe someone who has or is running an SR2 with more than 48GB ram will chime in here.

The thread’s a bit stale at this point, but here it is:

    - and it looks like I can’t post links. Silly. Been a member for 12 years here, albeit lurking, but ok.At least I can still edit my own posts ... silver lining. anyway ...

Gist of that thread is that yes it’s possible to put up to 96GB in it, but it’s not going to be supported, and it’s apparently extremely picky with regards to DIMM compatibility.
