My system is still pending completion but hoping soon I get it together and can see how easy it will be to get to stable clocks.

Look forward to see everyone's results

Thanks

I had an asus z370-g before this Micro. and I'm hitting 5.1 with 0.2 lower (1.35) volts stable on the evga board.

So I can go for the 5.2 but I dont wanna push it till 1.4+ for noise reasons.

I might just go pick up a 8600K ,... I don't really think I need the HT of the 8700K.  I am only going to be gaming on this machine

What temps are you getting?
I have mine on the evga z370 ftw. I have an 8600k at 4.8 with 1.28 volts at full load. I use the H150i pro and at full load I am hitting 72c after 8 hours of prime95 (avx disabled).

I get my X370 FTW in a few days I would like to set mine up like yours can you post some image of your Bois Settings?
In the Bios with a USB Flash Drive you Press F12 to snap the page and it saves it to the USB Flash Drive. Thanks
Also what Make and Model Number is your Memory as I may have to buy new memory for mine if what I have is not working.
I have LPX 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 DRAM 3000MHz (CMK16GX4M2B3000C15W) and really hope it works. The W only means White in Color.

Eh anyone can post a shot of 5.3-5.5ghz and take a screenshot doesn’t mean it’s stable.....I have a video of it running Firestrike at 5.0Ghz on air
@19C on the Physics test. I’m also running very fast memory by G-Skill, 3600mhz Trident RGB with XMP they run stable at 4,000mhz amazing memory, the RGB memory cycles through the cool colors like the board does.
I’llupdate A video of it doing 5,0Ghz @17C in Firestrike , having format issues maybe right now

Install CPU-Z and upload it like in the above post. Download Link
That is what this tool is used for, it is not a Screenshot of a Desktop.
By the way most High Overclocks Cannot Pass CPU-Z Validator,
This is what we want to see on your 5.5GHz Computer. I am just saying that is.

Look at the Voltage Here, I see most of the High Overclocks have very low end Graphics Cards installed
Like the NVIDIA GeForce GT 720 (GK208)
Link to DB of Overclocks for this CPU

19c is 66.2F  How can you be running 5ghz, 100% load, 19c on air?
What is the room temp where you're at?  The CPU can not be running colder than the room temp.
The sensor is not working right.

It doesn't and If you really think a CPU gets cooler while being run at load on a $30 air cooler than it does while idle you are so completely clueless in how a PC works that you are beyond all help.

It doesn't and If you really think a CPU gets cooler while being run at load on a $30 air cooler than it does while idle you are so completely clueless in how a PC works that you are beyond all help.

What you are seeing on your *ahem* "read out display" is the result of bad/faulty software.

Its not the software......... Core Temp was just updated for Coffee Lake CPU's-Version 1.11 - 4th November, 2017 -New: Support for Intel Coffee Lake, Denverton, Gemini Lake. It’s simply the way I have my fans set up.
This video https://www.dropbox.com/s...022%2005%20PM.mov?dl=0 does not lie. 100% usage @17C-19C it's right there for several seconds during the combined test,
My memory is also faster than your 3200mhz....... what a waste putting such slow memory on that board. At least get memory of that is closer to the limit of the board....
You sound jealous if anything, a $30 Evo is way better than a lot of the "all in one" water coolers, take your tears elsewhere

Look at the Voltage Here, I see most of the High Overclocks have very low end Graphics Cards installed
Like the NVIDIA GeForce GT 720 (GK208)
Link to DB of Overclocks for this CPU

 1.584 Volts
 Microsoft Windows 7 (6.1) Ultimate Edition 64-bit
Cores Frequencies
#00: 5902.89 MHz
#01: 5902.89 MHz
#02: 5902.89 MHz
#03: 5902.89 MHz
#04: 5902.89 MHz
#05: 5902.89 MHz

Whoever is running at that Vcore is stupid, the said safety limit is 1.50 Vcore, if you can't hit 5.5-5.8ghz under 1.50 Vcore I wouldn't do it.

Nope my 8600k runs 17-19c at full load across all cores@5Ghz on air, just uploaded a video of it, temp reading is coming off core temp so it’s very accurate😀 below is firestrike video at 5ghz it idles little hot but watch when she loads up to 92% and then tell me my 8600k doesn’t run at 17C...
https://www.dropbox.com/s...022%2005%20PM.mov?dl=0

LOL  like I said you are completely and utterly clueless junior. Clearly you are too incompetent to understand what you are claiming is happening is simply not possible with a mediocre $30 cooler. If you can reach 19C full load at 5Ghz on a $30 cooler why don't you enlighten us and the rest of the PC enthusiast world on what we are missing? You think you know something that the ENTIRE PC enthusiast, review houses and overclocking professionals don't know? Please kid, don't make me laugh. The mere fact that you even think you are running 19C at full load and it's not some kind of software/monitoring bug tells me all I need to know about your level of understanding of how PCs and thermodynamics work.

Also, LOL @ calling 3200Mhz memory "slow" in comparison to 3600Mhz. The performance difference between 3200Mhz and 3600Mhz memory in virtually all PC tasks is negligible at best.

Sean, what is your room temp? 17c to 19c is 62f to 66f
If your room temp is higher than 66 you can not be running cooler than the room temp.
Think about it, huh?
I have seen many bad sensors in my lifetime doing HVAC then computers.
Sensors also need to be calibrated,
Try real temp or HWinfo.
So what is your room temp? You can NOT run a CPU cooler than what the room temp is on air.
To do that, you would need a liquid chiller, liquid nitrogen, dry ice or phase change cooler.
We would not steer you wrong, honest. You may have a bad sensor in the CPU, if so, RMA time.

Life is too short to carry a cheap pocket knife

guys, he must have a AC unit set at 50F bolted to the side of this case... only thing that could explain those temps on that cooler... if it was even possible with that. but I am guessing bad sensor or bad software

No, I just know how to build gaming computers, you did see that I'm running 10x 120mm case fans in an Antec Eleven Hundred right? This the one of, if not one of the best cooling solutions out there.

......here's a second video taken just today showing my 8600k@ 5Ghz temps under full load at 12C-17C.....

Schmucks....thinking a cpu can't run cooler than room temperature....who is the idiot that said that?? YOU ARE DUMB

a CPU can't run at lower than room temp. PLEASE DO A LITTLE RESEARCH ... the name calling is making you sound even worse. 12 year old keyboard warrior?

http://lmgtfy.com/?q=can+...er+than+room+tempature

You are getting this from a keyboard read out.... sorry now I cant take you remotely serious at all

do you not know how to read tho? your CPU is at 90% load and at around 60c... not even close to 17c.... even then 60c is crazy low and would assume something is still off. again monitor with RealTemp running Prime95 for an hour
