New and improved CPU microcode BIOS files are now available.  Please use these to update your X299 motherboards for Spectre-related vulnerabilities.




So what you are saying is that the microcode in the bios is newer than the ones originally released?  Trying to remember...was the original Spectre bios 110?

For the X299 FTW K, yes.  v1.10 was the original release, which we later removed when Intel decided to release newer and better microcode.  These BIOSes, dated 3/21/18, are the latest and final (to my knowledge) for X299, with regards to the Spectre vulnerabilities.

Well - with v1.07 it returns in a dead bios on my X299 - code FF and nothing hapends after CMOS clear

Dozer I hope you didn't try the 1.13 on the dark as that was for the micro. The newest one for the X299 Dark was 1.07
