Is it the increased prices of the ram needed? If crypto miners are buying like 5 cards at a time shouldn't that mean all the makers and sellers of these cards doing really really good now? Shouldn't the prices go drastically down eventually?

Part of it is the ram pricing, but also simple supply and demand. Demand is high, and supply is low so prices go up.  Companies know they are going to make more profit now than ever so that is why the price is still up.  I have no problem with this, but I do feel that companies forget that their customers who have been loyal get screwed and then wonder why their sales dry up as customers will go and look for better deals. There is a balance you can find between profits and customer loyalty. 

Breath..Think..React.... Do that in reverse equals regret..

It actually dropped a little, but you can blame the miners...

I would say EVGA. nVidia still have their prices:
1080ti $699
1080 $549
1070ti $449
1070 $399
1060 $299

The price of Ethereum has gone way down and the roi for gpus is way longer than a year even for a gpu with msrp  price or below assuming they bought direct from the factory. The prices for video cards should go down assuming the price keeps going down for ethereum

Just picked up my 1080ti FTW3 from EVGA $999 not to bad in my book better than it was at least. I think prices are coming down, problem now is they'll sell out because people have been waiting. So maybe next time they get stock prices will be down even more.
