There is a large amount of evidence that supports the theory that videogames themselves aren't necessarily addicting. When someone plays unhealthy amounts of videogames, it indicates a dissatisfaction somewhere else in life. Videogames don't need to be limited, people's health needs to be improved.

Definitely agree. Whenever I'm bummed out or don't have anyone to hangout with IRL, I turn to gaming. Next, there going to try and say video games impact how violent a kid grows up to be.

Indeed, it applies to anything really but especially in this scenario as a form of escapism from something that is less than ideal in their real lives.

Already been done for a looooong time. And it won't be the end of it either, especially as we get closer and closer to 1:1 realism and immersion.

I personally believe in predetermined fate. I know certain things can influence you but not everyone that plays Call of Duty joins the military, and not everyone that plays GTA robs the nearest gas station.

Addictive personalities can make anything unhealthy.

Way better than sitting on porn day in and day out. I never see my wife and couldn't be happier most days.

If this means i can get 100% disabitility to stay at home and play video games then yes, I too have this disorder.  Will agree it does make it hard to get other subjectively more important things done around the house.

I have to say I probably have a gaming disorder, I been jonesing the last week for a new game. Recently finished last game I had to finish FarCry4, been looking to try Assassin's Creed Origins but refuse to pay full price. Oh well I guess StarCraft 2 will have to suffice until some titles go on sell or something worth paying full price comes out.

Really if you are taking time here to post about having a gaming disorder then you don't have one. If you are to busy playing games to socialize on a forum or in real life you have the problem.
