Looks like the rest of your system is decent. I would step it up to a 1070[or better], if you can afford it. 1060 6Gb is the minimum I would suggest.

Arma 3 is a texture hog , so yeah a 1070  - minimum would be great but get the best that you can afford to

Yeh, i suggest same than above. Also if second hand is fine, then 980ti would be in list too. If can be found good price.

3gb is too much crippled version of 6gb, thats why 6gb is better choice in anyway. What is your resolution? Planning to go 1440p or over?

Not for the 1060

a 1070 or 1080 would cause your CPU to become more of a bottleneck at 1920x1080

that helped me understand thanks cool !

Also look at the EVGA prices regardless of if you buy EVGA or another brand it should be in the ballpark of that price and use the auto notify if it's sold out. Keep in mind that if you get a notification the card is in stock and miss out you will need to sign up again for notifications to get another email about it.

Really the limited supply has kind of drove prices into crazy levels on the 3rd party market but you can still find the cards and the notify system is a great way.

1070 for max 1920x1080 gaming. Resolutions beyond that go 1080.

The GTX 960 really isn't a bad card. I would tough it out and wait until prices stabilize before an upgrade.

you should wait until prices stabilize, the value proposition on gaming cards sucks currently

What fresh rate should you look for on your monitor with a 1080 or 1070?

Bad time currently (can relate though, my GPU actually died a few days ago) - but I think you should go with a 1060 6GB - it's a great card that I've used before and bench marked a plenty for others

1070 TI or a 1080 FTW2 is what I would shoot for if you just want seamless gameplay at 1080p to 1440p to have the best experience possible.
