Many want Dark for benchmark competing.  But some want Dark for workstation stability + deep processing.

Anyone else trying that?  Tips/configs?

My plan = keep simple, use EVGA:
  • SuperNova 1200P2 to feed stable overclock 7980XE + GPU(s).
  • Delidded 7980XE with CLC 280.
  • Corsair Dominator 3200 (64GB).
  • Single 960 Pro SSD on PCIe CPU direct, not PCH, no RAID.
  • EVGA 1080Ti FTW3 (x2 if useful for GPU render) or Titan V for deep learning study (if tensor core use).
  • Empty case of all else.
Also, thoughts on stability test plan?

All of these components will working fine.
If you want gaming than GTX1080Ti SLI some elite models as K|NGP|N are better than TITAN V.
But maybe for your needs you should read carefull how TITAN V behave compare to TITAN Xp Pascal or GTX1080Ti.

Good luck with build, if you decide to choose these components make some nice pictures.
We can't see always so good hardware.

DARK is good but not best choice. You may need motherboard and CPU that support 8-way or more ECC memory.

It's said, Titan V is 3 times faster or more that Titan Xp for DL in some cases while few report.

You can ask all the question you have about the X299 Dark in a Single Thread.
X299 Dark Bench Notes/Info is your other thread so you should use that one.
