Doesn't look like a problem to me. All those numbers are within margin of error.

So why they said in conclusion :""The minimum memory frequency we would recommend for a high-end Coffee Lake system is 2666 MHz. Everything below that seems to have relatively large performance effects.""

Most likely because there were some applications that showed a difference.

I see the 8700k supports DDR4-2666mh in the description. Does that mean it only supports that memory frequency or is that the base minimum for that processor.

Depends on how the applications you have respond to 2133 vs 2666. tmmy34 I see the 8700k supports DDR4-2666mh in the description. Does that mean it only supports that memory frequency or is that the base minimum for that processor.
Max recommended.

Are you ok with the performance you're getting now? If yes, keep your current ram. If no, buy the faster ram, and hope it makes a difference.

I have 2400 ram that runs at 2933 on 1.3v :) but that's another ball game. But ram speed helps more than in other games but if you currently have 2133 it's not really worth the switch as you probably won't even be CPU bottle necked unless your trying to push one of those 240hz monitors or something

The truth in the majority of cases RAM speed is bottlenecked by something else in the computer being slower then it. Even if you had the fastest SSD hard drive though the real world performance in most tests wouldn't be noticeable to you. In benchmarks though they can show a huge difference in something that is happening in less then 1/1000th of a second.

Agreed. Depending upon your system and whether or not it is overclocked faster memory may only result in a 1 to 5 percent increase in performance. If you are an extremely high level gamer that 1 to 5 percent is a lot.

or super true if your just running 60fps it may be zero alot depends what the specs are but in most gpu bound situations it doesn't help enough to warrant selling your current ram to buy new ones

Ok last question dear guys. 1. Using 2133mhz with 8700K ( stock ) will not bottleneck too much my cpu? Or should i buy 2666mhz memory ? 2. Of course i will be have better performance with 8700K and 2133mhz memory than was on 6700K and 2133mhz memory too? 3. http://www.eurogamer.pl/articles/2017-10-12-intel-coffee-lake-core-i7-8700k-test In Witcher 3 20 fps difference between 2133mhz and 2666mhz. 4. I am using 1080p monitor 144hz, GFX Gtx 1080 ti

hmm that is a pretty big bump you could try and see if your current ram runs 2666 at 1.30-1.35v but in that link the three different test are different intel CPUs which probably makes a good bit of diffrence. The farcry chart picture is more what I would expect to see even when CPU bound in most cases

I heard that even if i buy 2666mhz memory bios will still revert to 2133mhz on auto? Its true?
