I had to rma my 980 ti, I was wondering if I will receive another 980 ti or will I get a 10 series card as the 900 series cards are not being made anymore.

You should get the same card back. If no 980 ti's are available you'll receive a card that is equal to/better than the 980 ti.

like sajin said   depends on what evga has available  same or equal to or better  in the 900 series forum where this was moved from and here   theres a few threads on this .

some guys got back same card like one rma'ed a 980ti hybrid and got a 980ti hybrid back  , then one guy rma'ed a 980ti classy  and got a 1080ftw  one guy did a 980ti classy and got a 1080 sc   and so on  down to a plane ol' 1070  I assume if it was a stock reference 980 ti on that ??

I assume this can be discussed  with the service rep your dealing with on your card during the rma process ?

well, you don't get a ''new'' card  you get a referbed / b-stock  something  another  best I know ???   that's what you tend to see the most  . don't know if that still holds true if they had to go with a 10series card  ? I assume its easyer for them to give a referb on them being there out on the market  now a days

    Hello,

Replacements are as was said above, the same card unless we do not have that model in stock. If we do not then you will receive a replacement of equal or better performance based on Nvidia's performance statistics. All replacements are Re-Certified meaning that we have tested them before they were sent. We won't know what card is sent to you until it has already shipped out of our warehouse though, you may view that under Member -> My Products -> View Details under the serial number that you sent in.

    Everything is security.

right , most all is stated in the warrantee doc's  here under  service / terms and conditions / evga warrantee / graphics cards /  Warranty Terms / Product Warranty Replacement /  ''Products sent in for RMA will be repaired and returned or replaced with a thoroughly tested recertified product of equal or greater performance. ''

. I just turned RMA's a EVGA GeForce GTX 970 SSC. I'm interested in what I'll get back myself. Hoping they end up upgrading it. You sent yours in before mine so let me know what you get in return when it comes in.

    Hello,

I'm sorry you're disappointed in your replacement. Replacements are based on performance as determined by Nvidia, Nvidia rates the 1070 as a better performing card than the 980 ti; As the 980 ti ages fewer cards are available for replacements so the next best available product will be sent to those who send their products in for warranty as is outlined in our warranty terms and conditions

    Re: 980 ti RMA 2018/05/15 06:37:35 (permalink)
whats funny to me is  a 980 ti clocked to say 1250   but the ''better'' 10 series is  1750 ,  but on par ?     if you could clock that 980 ti  to 1750/ 1800  or down clock that 1070 to match your 980ti stock clock then lets see what card is better .

if the 1070 was 1140 card and doing better or = to then you got something to say on that . thing is you would expect a card stock running up to 1800 MHz to flat run over a card that's 1250  by a heck of a lot  [opinion ]

har to find tested with same games   but try this

    bf3 with ''4AA''  980ti at [1102 /1190 ]
    https://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/EVGA/GTX_980_Ti_SC_Plus/9.html

    bf3  ''NO'' AA  evga 1070 [1594/ 1784  stock clocking ]
    https://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/EVGA/GTX_1070_SC/8.html

    witcher 3
    980ti
    https://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/EVGA/GTX_980_Ti_SC_Plus/23.html

    1070
    https://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/EVGA/GTX_1070_SC/20.html

then the support you loose with a 10 series as well .   = to looks a reach  [a stretch Armstrong reach ] or in opinion /  as determined by Nvidia...lol....

hay, don't look a gift horse in the mouth and your at there full mercy when alls said and done .  the rma could of been rejected  just as easy  and today its not like your going to newegg and buying a new 980ti  anyway  , heck your not buying one here at the evga store .

a little bit of something can be a lot better then a whole lot of nothing .

dude, its all the same with any brand .   you got what you expect or you don't  .  if you don't  they work it out to your satisfaction or they don't .     just evga had built up a  better reputation  on these things .  and as they say all good things do come to a end  cause times are a change' en . in my opinion there all just run of the mill

pretty much what you get for the price that day you add to cart .  like said I could of just as esay have a MSI card in here  , but this evga went on sale the day I wanted to pull the trigger on a card . then luck of the draw  I [knock on wood]  got a satisfactory card  that so far holding up
