Hello. I recently upgraded my internet speed with Verizon Fios from 100/100MBps to 1000/1000MBps and after doing a speedtest I'm still only getting 100MBps up and down on my PC. I verified that I'm receiving up to 1000MBps from the Verizon ONT (used the verizon speedtest) and my PC is directly connected to the router (Quantum G1100) via Cat5e ethernet cable which should support gigabit speeds. I did a factory reset on the router, and still no change. I went into the the network configuarion on the ethernet port and checked the link speed and it was set to Auto, but what worried me is that there were only 10/100MBps half/full duplex options for the ethernet port. Did some research on the Controller (Marvell Yukon 88e8059 pci-e ethernet controller) which is what's on the X79 FTW mobo that I have, and it states that it can handle 10/100/1000MBps. Not sure what else I can do, can anyone help?

Currently running Windows 10 (if needed).

I think your getting your bits and bytes confused. 1000mbps equals 125mBps. You'll never see real world throughput at 100 mBps most likely, especially sustained.

Thank you for your response. Yeah, I accidentally added an extra capital B, but in any case, I figured out what my problem was and it was a bad cable. Of course it had to be the easiest fix. I'm now getting around 940 Mbps up and down on PC after a good speedtest. That is pretty darn fast.
