With the latest iteration of Windows 10 (Ver. 1709), Intel Turbo Boost 3.0 Control panel starts maximized on my desktop with every startup..Before the update, it would always minimize to the tray automatically..Just curious is anyone else is having this problem and have been able to fix it..

A google search only showed me one other user with this problem, but no fix was offered..

I really do not use this feature as it messes with a couple of my games and I keep it disabled..If I uninstall it, Windows simply reinstalls it..

Post #17 in this thread on behalf of Intel Corporation basically says they're 'checkin into it'.

Try looking in the Windows 10 Task Scheduler Library and see if it's shown and then right-click on it to disable it and see how it rolls..Just a thought, best guess.

Press the Windows + R keys to open Run, then type in (or copy/paste this) taskschd.msc to open Task Scheduler.

Bob..you're a frickin genius!  Disabling the command in task scheduler did the trick..I didn't delete it just in case and it does start minimized in my tray as it did before the windows update.

Could you please give a solution that does not involve the "Windows" key?  Every forum I go to only gives answers with the "Windows" key.  Not all keyboards have that.  Is there a more universal solution?

Thanks

Are you asking about this ? Post #2

Windows + R keys to open Run, then type in (or copy/paste this) taskschd.msc to open Task Scheduler.

If that is the question, then this is the answer:

Left click "start button", in search box type "run"

Universal solution to? It should minimize normally to the tray if you're running an updated version of Windows 10.

I'm asking about Windows + anything.  It's about answers I see all over the internet.  I'll go from site to site looking for an answer and the solution always involves the Windows key. A solution for those of us without Windows keyboards should ALWAYS be given.  This should be universal to all solution sites.  I'd like to see answers of this type with the non-Windows key alternative given in parentheses or something.

It's a generalized suggestion.

As far as I know, the version of Windows 10 I'm running is the latest.  Yet every time I boot up my computer, Turbo pops up, minimizes, and pops up again.  I just want it to stay minimized LOL.
