    Unless you are using the system for gaming, or running a 1070 ti or 1080 ti, 373.06 is still the best driver version for Windows.
     
     1080ti you have to go with 378.something as a minimum, 1070 ti ... you're stuck with 388.recent
     
     Thank goodness all of my 1070 ti cards are in LINUX systems - 384.98 has been quite stable so far.
     

    Now that vorsholk has stopped his abuse, I'm returning to folding.
     I no longer MOO due to abuses by certain "whales" in the Gridcoin community - so I now work the Distributed.net project directly again.

    Been running 388.59 for 3 days and so far, no problems on my 970FTW - upgraded from 373.06 for gaming.   ONLY issue has been a 40,000 - 70,000 drop in ppd output for folding.

    Here's what I noticed when upgrading to the latest NVidia driver the last couple months:
     
    1. Points drop 10K to 15K per machine, per day, per new driver software upgrade -- after installation of the latest driver.
    2. After idling for a couple days, the first folding job gets a certain points total, then the 2nd or 3rd jobs earn a little more, and finally the points stabilize per job. (Note: I've observed this due to the 9XXX jobs being sent 95 percent of the time, currently).
     
    Anybody else noticing this? Maybe NVidia could consistently release drivers specifically for folding (other than the infrequent "hot fixes")? I think it's justified, since there are a "goodly" amount of folders out there ... not just with EVGA.

    Driver 388.71 is doing well on all Versions of Windows ATM.

    I noticed windows10 installed the new version on my system and it did not bork folding or BOINC
    It did update the driver to the new one from 373.06.
    Maybe Microsoft has taken the hint and is now installing the whole package?

     Life is too short to carry a cheap pocket knife
