So, got afterburner installed and everything working other than my Evga 1070 sc card is only running one fan with the custom fan curve. Anybody know if I can adjust the other one as well? Otherwise, afterburner won't do me any good since the other part of the card will get hot with no fan and being able to adjust it. I was using Evga precision before and it controlled both fans.

Use precision. Afterburner hasn’t added asynchronous fans as far as I am aware.

Yep, pretty much what I had to do, reinstall precision.

Hopefully Afterburner will get the ability to control each fan independently in time. For now, that is the only downfall it has that I can think of.

    Yeah, that would be great.

Unwinder has already stated that unless other companies adopt asynchronous fans, he will probably NOT build it into Afterburner.  The one company that would have to would be MSI, since they fund Afterburner

+1 and im sure he will hate doing it or make it only work with their cards and not evga, lots of bad blood there it seems

Do the 10xx series EVGA cards with the async fans have two fan headers? One for each fan or are they chip controlled off one?

Yes, they use multiple fan headers and multiple fan controllers. One is a "standard" fan controller which is controlled by the card's firmware like normal, and one is additional and controlled by custom micro controller code.

Oh good. So you could just unplug the problem fan, get a splitter wire and hook both fans to the normal header, like past cards. Then your not lashed to Precision anymore and can control your fans the way you want without jeopardizing your warranty.

Actually...the main fan will run on the fan curve of Afterburner.  The second fan should kick in as per the bios of the card...so the power fan will run when the power sensor detects the default temp.

Yes, exactly.  If you for some reason absolutely need both fans to be synced together and controllable via Afterburner, what you describe is a very simple solution.  I proposed the same some months ago.

Or, as bobmitch stated, you can control the one fan and the other will still function automatically in its own way.
