Love to hear a report back on the Pixel 2 XL.. I have the Pixel XL and Google are still offering me $400 rebate if I upgrade to the Pixel 2 XL. The original XL is a great phone, although it could do with a bit more memory, but having free unlimited (and full size RAW) image etc backups to Google certainly helps. One of the more important functions for me (besides being a phone) is the camera. The one thing that is really putting me off the Pixel 2 XL is having no headphone plug. I suppose that helps to keep it more water resistant, but replacing my Bose headphones with the bluetooth version is another near $200, and I'm still dubious about wearing bluetooth headphones as my wife worked with someone who was always wearing a bluetooth headset (the ones that just loop around one ear for speech, not music) - dude ended up with some form of bone cancer exactly where the bluetooth device sat, and apparently no history of cancer in his family. :(
 
I think I just talked myself out of it again, lol.

Dont worry about the lack of headphone jack. It comes with a USB adapter that plugs into the phone so you can use headphones. Its a headphone jack to usb thingy.
 
It doesnt use a regular USB though. So all of my car chargers and stuff dont work. Its like an omni directional plug thats similar to usb. So youll never plug it in upside down, it can go in either way. Frustrating that all my extra chargers from previous phones no longer work. 
 
The icons bother me a bit. My Galaxy Note 4 would turn something green if it was on (Bluetooth, location, etc) but this one just does black/white making it more difficult to know if its on or not. Location is always on. You can turn it off through the settings but its not a widget like all other android phones. Google phone spies on me, which is weird but its the future I guess. It will just randomly give me updates on things like football games and ask me to review restaurants Ive been to in the last couple days. Like, how does it know where I was 7 days ago BEFORE i even got this phone? How does it know that I was watching that football game? I dont post or google the game if im watching it. Is it linked up with my ISP? I just dont know. 
 
Overall its a good phone it will just take some time getting used to because the options are in different spots than regular android phones. Every android since my Droid X has been basically the same from a usability standpoint, but this one is different. 

I love my 2 XL so far. Ordered it on day one, had the original one since it's day one as well. Great phones.
The lack of a headphone jack does kind of suck as the dongle is cumbersome.
I found a Bluetooth to 3.5mm adapter that has been working out great for me. I can link it if you like.
 
As for Black Friday, I scored a 50" 4K Vizio SmartCast TV for $280. 
I bought the Phanteks Enthoo Pro M TG very early this morning, 1ish. It was on sale, probably a Cyber Monday deal.

ASUS RT-AC88U router. I've been intending to buy a new router for a while, and this one went on sale for far less than I've ever seen it. $110 off MSRP? Yes please. 

I did get some stuff cyber Monday just the Planet of the Apes new trilogy which was $16. Pretty good value since I am a fan of the original series and the new one is really good. I just wish it looped around like the original did since I liked that time travel worm hole explanation of how apes had taken over.

Notta this year, lol. Early Xmas shopping, and storm windows/sliding doors top rated, and my hobby killed my funds already. As well as needing a GPU. I did win some Fallout Wasteland Warfare miniatures from SYFY's FB page though =D
