How are LG monitors?  I want to preorder this one: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824025836
It's has perfect spes for me, no curved, 32", gsync, 144hz, but they only have one year warranty.  It would not be cool if it got dead pixels in a couple of years.
Thank you.

I have an LG 27" monitor that I've had about 6 years now. It never had any dead pixels. Still looks, and works like new. I definitely recommend LG monitors.

Every manufacturer has blemishes. No one is perfect. Just check it out when you get it so you can exchange it if needed. More likely than not it will be just fine. That LG you purchased will last. You will be pretty happy!

Thank you both.  We have 4 Samsung monitors for years and never had a single dead pixel.  It's too bad the Samsung monitors I like are curved =(

If you have a credit card, see about adding buyer protection coverage on it. Some of them will extend the warranty. Another option is look into the extended warranties sold on Newegg. See if the company stands behind the warranty or not.

I have a LG something something 79G ultra wide.
I can't use freesync anymore but the 144 refresh rate and 1ms fast mode is amazing.

If you ever have to call LG for warranty service, do not get upset or cuss while on the phone with them. LG has in the past voided customer warranty for getting upset/cussing on the phone. It happened to a friend years ago.

My old 22" monitor was made by LG. The power supply messed up in it. They paid for shipping both ways on warranty service.

That is a good idea for any customer service call as the person on the line is probably at least trying to help you. They just sometimes don't understand the problem or are required to use a support script that assumes you are someone who has little experience with a computer.

I also know a TV provider in the area that cancelled service for a friends boyfriend after he cussed at a service rep about service being down fallowing an ice storm. They told him they had a recording of the call and being abusive to an employee is a violation of the service contract and thus he would have to pay a $300 fee for early termination. I am not exactly sure what he said but I can imagine it must have been pretty bad since customer service refused to take calls from him and last I heard the bill was sent to collections as he was refusing to pay it.

I love the LG ultrawides, they are my favorite monitor. Decently priced, above average quality.

LG makes some of the best monitors around. Fantastic color reproduction and good longevity. Their 4k IPS collection is especially breathtaking.

I am in the market for a new monitor, and have been extensively studying listings and reviews. While this is hardly a scientific study, there do seem to be a few strong trends. Samsung and LG repeatedly get high marks. Acer and Asus get good reviews on image quality, but seem to have more frequent problems with quality and consistency. And displays with IPS (In Plane Switching) seem to get higher marks on image quality. IPS monitors have great contrast and black levels, but their response times still may still lag behind. So read reviews carefully to see if it is being used for a general computer screen or for gaming (where  lag times would be more of a factor).
