Possibly, but I think Jay is using PrimoChill VUE on this. They sent him some for free.

yep he has been testing it for awhile. stuff is cool looking but the price and recomended change of 4-6 months has me wary of it

I don't like colored fluids because time and time again, I keep seeing stains and clogs.  Not in all cases but a high probability and I don't need that stuff caking my already expensive H20 gear.  For show rigs sure, but you'll need to replace that fluid in a 1-3 month plan.  The effects of the fluid will eventually fade out too.  Just too much of a hassle for it.  I just stick with premix clear fluid (DP Ultra from Aquacomputer) with the biocide and corrsive inhibitors included as well as colored tubing and RGB LEDs for the wow factor.  They even have some LED for hardline folks which gives a nice effect.  Just make sure you use the same company fittings and hardlines.  Mix matching with other manufacturers could cause compatibility issues or result in a catastrophic leak.

Yeah, I don't run any color additives in my loop either, just clear PrimoChill PC Pure. Years ago (at least a decade) I put some blue coloring in my loop from a very reputable pc water cooling fluid company and it made a mess out of my loop, it stuck to everything. I think they have gotten better with the color additives since then, but I just use colored tubing instead. However with the newer hard tubing that you bend yourself, this PrimoChill VUE looks sweet. Not sure if I personally would want to have to drain the system ever 4 to 6 months or whatever is needed to keep it from messing up the loop, but it looks so good I wont fault someone for running it in their loop.

I remember years ago when Jay used to say that using color fluids was fine, etc.  Obviously he's changed his tone even though he still uses it for his show rigs.  One of the main reasons why I don't follow him.  He's a smart guy and has a large following but some of the things he had said got my head scratching.  I'm sure he's learned a lot since than.

1 month isn't enough time but I have seen loops deteriorate within a few weeks but I believe other things like plasticize played a role to speed up that process.  Usually after a few months, you'll see the color fluids lose their effect and things could start to gunk up or stain mainly.  I think color fluids look good in builds for the first few days but not worth the trouble and funds lost because of it.  One of the hardest things to clean from the loop is the radiator.  Now imagine that stained up the wazoo.  You wouldn't get it completely cleaned no matter how many times you flushed it.

Let's not forget, UV I think has more of a water mixture to it versus the thicker colored fluids out there that's like a thick paste and the fluid's thermal properties will suffer a bit, maybe a few degrees? versus say a clear premix fluid or in its purest form like distilled water.
