1050ti freezes system while folding

Hey guys, I'm having a problem with my recently purchased EVGA GTX 1050ti SSC.
Lately when I have it folding it will lock the system up when anything else tries to use it in any way. This problem got worse when I attached a 4K TV to it.
When I pause folding, it runs perfectly fine and does not lock up.
It is running in my Plex server rig which is specced as follows:
2600k @ 4.4ghz
ASRock z77 Extreme6
G.Skill Sniper DDR3 2133 (?)
Samsung 850 Evo 256gb for the OS
Numerous storage drives for media.
Antec 750w PSU.

I did a fresh install of Windows 10 about 6 months ago and then upgraded to the Fall Creators Update a couple weeks ago.
I have had the 1050ti in the system for about a month now, it was a B-stock item if that matters.
When I mention anything else that tries to use it, I am talking about Plex hardware accelerated encoding, MCEBuddy hardware accelerated encoding, Plex W10 app, Netflix W10 App, YouTube via Chrome, CBS W10 app, etc....
 
Any insight to this would be helpful as I would like it to be folding for the upcoming contest and not have to worry about it.

    Your Not Folding on CPU - correct ?
     
    This started with "Fall Creators Update" ?
     
    Is this the only GPU in that system ?
     
    Try Folding set to medium ?
     
    At least 8 Gig RAM on this PC ?
     
    System OC ?
     
    GPU OC Software ?

    Try it without the CPU overclock and see if it freezes still.

    Your Not Folding on CPU - correct ?   No
     
    This started with "Fall Creators Update" ?  Sort of, it did it on occasion before hand
     
    Is this the only GPU in that system ? Only GPU other than iGPU
     
    Try Folding set to medium ? It was on Medium, I would like it to stop folding when watching a video, but can't get that to work
     
    At least 8 Gig RAM on this PC ? 16gb
     
    System OC ? Lightly, tried it without
     
    GPU OC Software ? MSI Afterburner
     




    Sorry for the delay here, I bolded my responses above.
    I have since taken the overclock off of the GPU and things seem to be ok on the freezing front, but I have to pause folding to watch 4k content.
    If I set folding low or on idle, it never starts up, even when it should be the only thing running, what is the threshold for this?
    Setting medium or high does not seem to matter for 4k playback.

    "If I set folding low or on idle, it never starts up" it will after a minute or two NOT touching the Mouse or KB.
    Turn off the Monitor and wait.
    IMO not worth Folding on a 1050 Ti, good GPU for Milky Way though. (Not saying you cannot)

    What do you mean Milky Way?
    It pulls just about 200k PPD, so its not too bad, and it only runs on the PCIe slot, no external power.

    The board its on, ASRock Z77 Extreme6, has an auxiliary PCIe power connector next to the first slot, its Molex, I have it connected.

    Setting to on idle still does nothing, it sits idle no matter what.
    GPU usage is at 0-5% and CPU is 3-8% while "idling".

    "I did a fresh install of Windows 10 about 6 months ago" is like 10 years when it comes to Windows 10.
    Use DDU and remove all NVIDIA Drivers and Software and install Driver 378.92 as this is the lowest Driver you can install on Windows Fall Creator Update. If not install Driver 373.06 and see how things go.
    You Will Need To Block Windows From Updating your Drivers or just be done with it and Install Driver 388.00
    NOT Driver 388.13 and or Test  388.31 and let us know what happens.
    Do you have the xBox crap turned off? 
    Maybe a bad Antec 750w PSU?

    I'm not going to look too much into it at this time, it folds just fine now and if I have to use the computer to view 4k content, I'll just pause it.
    I tried out the smart cast feature of the new TV and it works great, so I may just use that instead.
