Today they released the FTW but what about a window for the Classified? I’m waiting on 8700 to come in off back order, if I knew the Classified came out in a week or 2 I would wait for it before getting the FTW.

Also have a 8700K just waiting for its Classified K home. This will be my first build using a EVGA mb so I decided that if I was going tho get the i7-8700K I may as well get the top EVGA z370 mb, especially when it is one of the few good boards that don't put RGB on every slot and possible spot on the board.  It would be nice if EVGA would let everyone know RAM compatability to be able to get some if there is a sale, given how close it is to the holidays.

evga has yet to ever announce a firm date for releases, its pretty much when it done they release it then announce it on the site.

I am definitely waiting on the Classified K here as well. I have no interest in the x299 Dark or that line up with the 8700k being better than the 7820x

True but you can always get some guestimation from the unveil date. Typically it's 5-7 months post reveal before we see EVGA's flagship board so it's probably a safe bet that the Z370 Classified won't arrive until early spring at minimum.

RGB is not necessary...now it's trand and that will stay only will become less advertised. I have RVE10 with all RGB features and AURA compatibility and before that I had RVE...
BIOS are so similar that completely all readings for my CPU, Memory and other things are exactly same in one number... That mean If I put 1.200V, on both boards will be 1212V.
If I see number 1023.875A, on both are perfectly same, same motherboards, same BIOS, only cosmetics differencies, and USB 3.1 controller, Intel SATA instead ASMedia, PCI-E x4 give me opportunity to use second M.2 from CPU lanes without influence on GPU speed, electrostatic shield and RGB stuff.

But RGB... it's cosmetic only. I change every day color, after 2 months I will disable completely, I know that.
I like to see LEDs but to mark some function, used PCI-E slot, memory, LED Temp, used memory slots such things.
Such things only could cause problem, every little shield on my mobo have own connector for LED, if only one die, better motherboard without LED than with dead LED.
I don't know how RGB controllers could influence on work of hardware, but one thing is sure, not to improve speed and make things easier.
I not complain if I have RGB, but that's not reason for me to pick that hardware.

The Classified was announced three months ago but still no anticipated release date?  Can we even get a Q1 or Q2 estimate?

Well, I just spoke with their product management team member. They are targeting a limited release for the first week of March(!!!) for this board! What a joke! Went ahead and ordered myself Asrock. Done & done with EVGA. Not only did they lose my current business they also lost all my future business. Why else do you think they won't tell you the release date!? Cause it's months away! Move on people

EVGATech_LeeM, can you respond to this in any way? I've already put off my build for three months. Six months if you include waiting for the X299 boards before the 8700K was announced. My computer is 7 years old and is bottlenecking my EVGA 1080 TI FTW3 Hybrid. You just got my hopes up. I started ordering the parts for the build. Any info whatsoever is extremely appreciated.

Z370 Classified K. I haven't seen any mention of additional Z370 boards, with EVGA's limited engineering and manufacturing resources (my completely uneducated guess) is that any newly announced motherboards will be Z390s.

Bwahaha. Well that's one way to prove us wrong! Thank you! I'll buy you guys a beer next time you come to PAX West. I think I might be order #1. :)

Adding an EVGA PSU and CLC 280 as well!

Maybe, you wanna answer my question. Does EVGA have plans for another Classified too, or will the K the only one?

Quick questions (even though I've already ordered):

1.) Did the RGB lights under the main shroud make it to the production version?
2.) Did the optional black shroud for the audio chip area also make the cut?
3.) Also you might want to post the manual too. :D

I thought the price was very fair as well!

Unfortunately, no RGB lights or audio cover.  There are 2 RGB headers in the upper-right corner of the motherboard, however.

Edit:  I'll have the manual up today or Monday.  We're really busy right now, as this is the last day to pack things up before CES.  I also have drivers and some new BIOS updates to POST, as well.

Understood! I'm not going to complain. Thank you. :)

I thought the RGB lights under the shroud was a nice idea, but with two RGB headers, it's an easy addition for users who want it. A black audio shroud would have been visually nice but the lower unit cost positions you well in the market (in my humble position).

Best of luck at CES! My company will be attending next year. Tell the motherboard guys we thank them for their hard work!

I am definitely waiting on the Classified K here as well. I have no interest in the x299 Dark or that line up with the 8700k being better than the 7820x

7820k is faster in workplace but a only an very sight edge in gaming in gaming and desktop and the dark is more expensive along with a more expensive 10 year warranty and a much more expensive chip so the 299x is good if your doing heavy video processing but if you only use your computer for gaming and web browsing and light workplace like online banking and tax software the 8700k the would be best choice for bang for buck

Agree. Nevertheless the 7800x was outperformed by the 8700k, also in video encoding. IMHO both 7800x and 7820x are no good choices for x299 systems since they have very high power consumption. While they even take 100W in idle and 300W on load, the 7900x performs much better and idles at about 75W, maybe even less. With x299 you have to go all in with an excellent board and at least the i9-7900x.

No it doesn't. Only Z370 does.
