I think the biggest competitor is the Corsair 570x.
More like the 460. You're talking like a $40-50 price difference between the two, big difference.

EVGA I have some great advice: release the dg7, especially now since you just released the x299 and 1070ti. People need a place to put their Mobo AND GPU.

I am looking forward to seeing this build. The DG-8 is a good case overall. I just hope that this new case doesn't use a molex connector like the DG-8 since that was the only reason I had to use one in my build.

Send one my way, and I will give feedback? Already have a case that does airflow amazing, my Corsair C70, CM Stacker 830, and my HP BB002 my three favorite of all times so far. I used to go though so many cases until I found ones I liked that did what they were supposed to in terms of air flow and options.

The DG-8 not that great of a case. It has the 1990's cheap gray plastic television look going for it. DG-8 has poorly design front fan spots (bottom fan is 80% blocked). A full tower case that doesn't have a 5.25 optional spot. I'm glad we has so many mfg to choose from when looking for a case to buy. Slimshiesty

Yeah, just showed this case (Alpha 550x Black) To my client. No longer wants to wait for the EVGA DG-7 Series cases.. since there has not been any info on it in so long. Lian Li case is available now, and he wont have to spend extra for the RGB Fans.

How is one supposed to mount a DVD or Blueray drive in these cases?
They seem to be a COMPLETE FAIL as a case as designed, no wonder EVGA is having a big sale on the things.
Now that vorsholk has stopped his abuse, I'm returning to folding. I no longer MOO due to abuses by certain "whales" in the Gridcoin community - so I now work the Distributed.net project directly again.

I've been waiting for this case for a new build I'm contemplating, but I'm afraid that I'm going to have to pass. The "in your face" branding is too much for me. Congrats to those that are getting it, I look forward to your builds. ETA: It was just pointed out to me that in another thread Jacob said that the branding are stickers that can be removed. This case in back on the list!

What do you think about the PSU filter, is that something you expect on a $170 case? What about no wire grommets?
