I'm waiting for EVGA to release theirs. BUT, I'm very tempted to get an Asus Maximus Hero X / Asus Strix Z370-G.

Just saw that RJ (crazy overclock there man. Just look at those numbers!) I'm almost risking to say that the X299 Dark will come out with the Z370 line up.. HEY. I just remembered. Dreamhack is starting today. So we might have some news on these releases (x299 and z370).

I just picked up an ASRock Z370 Killer MB for now since it's cheap and has integrated WIFI (why isn't that an industry standard now??? Am I the only one that feels that way???) til evga releases their boards. More then likely I'll get an evga or asus board after a while and see what comes out.

My cpu just showed up!!!! Now for the fun stuff. And i decided to go with the Asus Maximus Hero x. I really wanted the code, but thought it will probably be out of my price range, and not sure when they are actually going to release it anyways. But other then that, i am extremely impressed with the Hero X motherboard. Build quality is superb, and out of the motherboards that are out there, its suppose to be one of the top overclockers and supreme build quality.

I just scored an I5 8600k. I know its not as good, but its still gonna be rad! BTW - I hate the price gouging that Newegg has done recently. I just dropped $299.99 on the processor and I'm reading that the retail price should be more around the $258 price point. Pretty lame :( Time for some serious Overclocking :D

Newegg is AWESOME. Yesterday the I5 8600k was marked at $259.99 and today it jumped to $299.99 (when it was in stock). I grabbed it when I could.
I figured just for the fun of it, I would contact customer service and see if they would match the price that it was listed at yesterday (even though yesterday there was no stock).
They did - They are going to issue me a partial refund for the $40.00 and it will go back to my method of payment within 2-4 business days.
SO AWESOME :D

Very nice, the Maximus Hero line has always been pretty good MB's. Can't wait to see some picts and how the 8700k performs.

Microcenter is horrendous at $499 as well. At this point, I will wait until prices go back to normal....not worth a premium. I may even be leaning toward the i7 7820X and X299 before overpaying for z370 and 8700K

I have an alert set when they become in stock at newegg and I received a text alert at 4:48 on the 27th and immediately went to get one and they were out of stock already. Who knows how many they get in but they are gone within seconds. I am not in a super rush to get one so I can wait till the prices come down even if it takes a few months.

Yup. Unfortunatly, since availability is pretty poor, prices should be jumping over and over until the stock is ok. Glad I was able to get mine on Back-order for 380$ (not the best price, but still, got it).

That was supposed to be the retail price, but, as far as I know, most of the major retaillers started selling it for Us$380,00 or more.

wow just looked and its on auto-notify right now at newegg but they're at $419.19, I'm glad I ordered mine when I did. That's supply and demand for you I guess  . I've been running it for a little over a week now and it has been great if anyone is thinking of getting one!
