Hi,

So I'm trying to boot the PC but this led keeps flashing and it won't boot =/
From a quick google it seems to be the powersupply?
But when I tested it before it worked.

These are the specs:
CPU: Intel i7-5930K
GPU: EVGA 980SC ACX2.0
RAM: HyperX Fury 2666MHz 32GB (DDR4)
PSU: Corsair RM750
SSD: HyperX Savage 240GB
HDD: WD Black 4TB

Thank you for your help

You should only see a flashing LED when the system is in sleep mode. The green power LED will blink to indicate this. If the 5VSB light is flashing, then you're not getting good power from the PSU, and it should be replaced.

Thank you for the help.
It can't be anything else that is wrong?

I have recently come across this issue on my new rig. However, I've also plugged it into my current PSU as well and they both get the 5v led flash on the mobo. Do I have a bad board?

I had this same issue after careful examination of working and not working I realized the issue was in the IO shield. More specifically the ground tab on the shield was going inside of the USB C/3.1 port causing it to short out. Hopefully my time of frustration will help some others with the same issue out there as I couldn't find an answer on forums or from EVGA support.

You helped, my only regret is not reading your post before ordering a new PSU. Same exact problem, I never did get the IO shield installed correctly, it can go without.

Exact same issue happened to me, white glowing light flashing.  Computer worked fine for 5 months, and all of a sudden, I must have plugged something in to the one of the ports that moved things around enough to create the grounding issue.

After removing the motherboard IO shield, things worked fine again.

*edit: actually, i thought the problem was the metal bracket, i was using a pcie wifi adapter and as soon as i pulled it out, it posted.  so i plugged the metal bracket back in and the lights again.  such a strange thing with this board. one thing works, one thing doesnt... it seems like it does it when my gtx 980 is pushed up against the io components, ill mess with it again in a couple days...could be my x42 cooler since that seems to be giving me issues  on other boards i need to figure out

i say they start making them out of non metallic products. or eliminate the tabs altogether which is what i have done. i pulled all of them off. i think the variances in case measurements is more likely the problem tbh. the io panels have to conform to the case itself which may be warped or the gpu slots dont allow the gpu to seat properly(Reezies prob). or the io section of the case itself isnt the right size or dimensions which results in the io panel being forced into the opening causing shorts.
mb will be here today, on a saturday even! ty evga great customer support. will update with my results.

They are metallic and called a "shield" for a reason. For FCC compliance, they are shields to reduce electromagnetic interference. Unfortunately, the user will continue to be responsible for proper assembly and use.
