so i am going to sli my evga gtx 970 sc acx 2.0 but does this  evga sli pro HB bridge work not the v2 version it says compatible with 1070/1080?   so my question is will this work with 970's and if not any reason why it wouldn't i am sure you people at evga have an awnser for this.

    ps seen that the gtx 970's support HB sli and on nvidia's HB SLI bridge they do support even 770's

    I think the reason I don't have the fancy bridge was spacing when I was running 3 way sli. Now that I have just 2 way sli I might look into it again.
    I see now they have a 40 mm and a 60 mm. Says compatible with all SLI but only lights up on certain models.
     
    Does anyone know if this will benefit 970 sli over a standard bridge for speed?

    The HB bridge will work on almost any sli config that has two fingers, but will not provide any extra benefits directly. The other part, if the gpu did not support lighting, it still will not. Some 970’s from EVGA did not have lighting, so check that before expecting the lights to work.

    With that, verify your 970 part numbers are sli compatible. There was a chart in the frequently asked questions section of evga.com. Not every evga 970 will sli properly.

    Furthermore, the HB bridge will not hurt performance.

    this may sound like a dumb question but where can i see my acx style part number? they are both evga gtx 970 sc acx 2.0?

    If the part numbers match, you are good. Verify on the back of the card where it gives the part number.

    If I remember right the FTW and SSC will work with the lights on the bridge.
    Also FYI, not sure what motherboard you have.
    If it is an EVGA x58 MB you will have to change the "Low memory gap setting" to 3g.
