I have had an evga g3 850watt which is plenty for my 7700k and 1080ti as games only draw 350-5xx max watts mostly sits around 350-4xx range.just wondering if this has happened to anyone else. it has done it since i owned it. when the fans ramp up after i have been gaming for a bit they get quite loud but oddly once they have ramped up its like they get stuck ramped up and even if i exit the game and go back to idle they are stuck spinning at the same speed even 10 mins later after exiting the game and returning to idle power draw draw . but if i shut down the computer and then start it up agian the fan goes back to normal speed or if i use eco the fan goes back to not spinning after the shutdown. but before the shut down and reboot i can flick the eco on and off and nothing changes its almost like the psu's fan curve gets stuck or something. evga support said this is not a normal behavior and i have started an rma so hopefully the replacement doesn't behave this way. but I was wondering if they has happened to anyone else

Yep it is very odd but strangly enough it's reparable I can exit gaming and shut down right away and reboot and once I am back into windows the fan will be back to idle speed or stopped it I have eco on. But if I don't shutdown it just stays spun up

If EVGA Support said "this is not a normal behavior" then you should RMA the PSU.
