Hello Everyone,
I recently purchased the EVGA 280 CLC based off reviews I've seen via YouTube and posts made here on this forum. However, after installation yesterday and playing with configurations last night.. I'm having a few issues adjusting my fan speeds and pump speeds.
I have not installed the software as I haven't seen anyone having the best of luck on it either. I instead plugged the header labeled "Motherboard" into my CPU_PUMP and am using the Y-Splitter to plug the fans directly into.
After booting into BIOS, I can change the fans to PWM,DC,AUTO but they're limited to 7.2V and won't increase the RPM higher than 1600 at max limits here. And the Pump speed I believe is limited to the same Voltage (posting from work so unable to verify currently). Is anyone else having these same issues? Or know how to fix both Fan and Pump Speed/Voltage?
I've considered disconnecting the fans from the Y-Splitter and plugging directly into my motherboards SYS_FAN 1-4 slots but they're out of the fans reach, so i'd need to get an extension. But other than that?

Specs:
MSI Z270 GAMING M7
INTEL 6700K OC 4.7Ghz 1.3V
EVGA GTX 1060 6GB SC
Crucial Ballistix Sport (2x8) 16GB RAM 2400
Corsair 750W Power Supply
EVGA CLC 280

Try plugging into CPU fan (also if you're going this route without the software, then I'd plug the fans direct into the board itself - no splitter).

EVGA Tech support basically told me they wouldn't help me until I download the software and adjust them there because "it's sold as an all-in-one package Cooler and Software". However, the software limits the fan curve from 20C (30% speed) to 60C (100% fan speed). 60C is easily reachable with an overclocked CPU playing AAA Titles and it sounds like a hurricane with it ramping my fans up and down depending on my temps. Not the solution I was looking for being limited to such a short spread curve.

Try using the custom fan curve option. I have the pump at 100% and fans never go above ~60%.
Also, once you set/save a config in the software, you can uninstall it (you need to plug in the usb cord obviously, but can unplug after).

I thought about just manually setting a set fan speed, I set the Pump to max. What's the rpm for 60%? And is it noisy? And I don't mind the software being installed, but it's good to know I can unplug that ugly cord.

I'll have to check the RPM when I get home, but it's quiet in pull-front mounted in my case. Yep, the cord is only there for updating the firmware via the software (RGB, speeds, etc.), so once that stuff is set you can unplug it.

Yeah please let me know your RPM. Mines set up as front intake too. Fans between case and Rad pulling cold air from outside the case and pushing through the Rad.

1700RPM and I have it set to sync off the coolant temp (if you install the software there should be two windows that pop-up for the custom fan curve, I'd recommend selecting coolant). I think the default is coolant temp, but not 100% sure.
