I thought that this is kind of interesting. To save thousands of dollars the navy is turning to the Xbox 360 controllers. http://www.popularmechanics.com/military/navy-ships/news/a28274/us-navy-to-use-xbox-360-controllers-on-submarines/

sounds like a great idea, relative to the $38,000 controller they already use hahah. Really interesting read though.

I played Silent Service on the NES with two buttons and a D-Pad. I think the XBox controller is overkill. ;)

I was kind of thinking the same thing but I would wonder what the life and level of control is on the $38,000 controller vs. the $30 Xbox 360 controller. I am all for saving money but when we see ships crashing and costing millions of dollars to repair I kind of have to question quality of the products used. Maybe they should spend the $150 for the Xbox One Elite controller and it's better parts.

Oh man... got a basic Xbox 360 controller for Rocket League. Didn't even take six months before the joystick stopped auto-centering fully so the car would no longer drive straight. That's going to be a great problem for a sub to have, visual antennas that rotate on their own and won't stay centered on target...

    Have water, will cool.
